From the time we started the services for catering food and planning for my 60th Birthday Party she made sure that everything would come out perfect. Food was excellent and there were leftovers for everyone to take home. Maria ( cook ) was also very attentive and professional & makes delicious food. Last but not least the prices on the services was excellent!!

Theirs a few places like this in El Paso that we need to support and keep in business. I ordered the Fried chicken with green beans and red beans and rice, the problem it took more than 45 minutes to get the meal, but again your not at any fast food chain that they have it waiting for you sense the morning. Here it’s freshly made with care and time, you can hurry perfect fried chicken. Crunchy cooked just right, the green beans were the best I tasted in a long time, the beans and rice needed a little work rice to hard for me. The problem here I think it was a little expensive for me, 8 pieces of chicken and they were all legs with 2 sides $39.99, butt again am always looking for a bargain you know me. Well overall great place try it out you won’t be disappointed, am going back to try out the gumbo.

This restaurant is something El Paso needs for the black community which we don't find at all around here. I've lived in North Carolina, Kentucky and Oklahoma and miss my very good, ole Southern Fried Soul Food that I will not have to cook myself all the time. Finally too, a place that makes chittlins and banana pudding. A blessing to have and hope to last. Just waiting for more items on the menu. Wish though you had plate combos. Understand folks, this is not fast food. Had zero issues.

The food was extremely disappointing to say the least.I tried the slap ya mama wings, mac&cheese, and greens.The wings were drenched in sugar yes grainy sugar.The Mac& Cheese was very salty the noodle itself was very greasy as well.Greens were bitter and bland.Safe to say I will NOT be returning.

My Mom and I decided to venture on the East side for some soul food(so they say). First, I called the order in, and the lady said it would take 30 min. We ordered 3 plates 2 pork chop meals one with red beans and rice and collard greens and the other with collard greens and Macaroni and Cheese. My mom got an additional plate of chicken wings red beans and rice and greens.I live in the northeast part of town so when she told me it would be 30 mins I was like okay I'm 34 mins away. We ordered Togo at around 5 pm( high traffic hour)which let's you know we didn't get there in 30 mins. So we get to the restaurant and our food isn't ready. We wait about 30 more minutes and finally it's given to us. I get home and open up the box. First of all these aren't Porck Chops they are Pork Steaks and last time I checked Pork Steaks were cheaper than Prok Chops.( Reffering to the $70 price point we paid)The Pork Steak was cooked unbelievably hard and made me wonder what did we wait so long for. The greens I guess had cabbage in them to stretch them is my only guess, not a good flavor at all. The Macaroni was good. My mother called me the next day to say how disappointed she was. See, from folks who can cook soulfood we know what it's supposed to taste like, and this WAS NOT it. The lady at the counter was super friendly and hospitable. The food was a 2, to say the least.
