This restaurant is closed. There is a notice to vacate on the front door.
Went to restaurant website said open and several people were looking for the place and when we found it the place was closed with a chain and lock. Would be nice for them to update their hours or at least change from open to closed. Also there was no parking available had to go around the block to find a parking spot for 10 minutes.
So ima be honest. This review about to seem worse than it should be but I have to be honest. I got the chicken pita which was delicious. Little to heavy on the slaw though for me. My ole lady got the fish tacos which she loved and she loved her drink. Idk what kind it was a fancy one. The 3 star is because, how as a Mexican place in el paso do you mess up the salsas so bad. They were awful.

Nice place, good food. They are awaiting a liquor license, but still worth a visit. Tacos and wings were delicious.

The food is cold and bland leaving me to wonder who they hired as a cook that more than likely has jumped ship from every joint in town due to their lack in taste.... literally. The servers are rude and the atmosphere is just depressing. I feel they will shut down eventually just like every pretentious venue in five points. Oh, and they forget to pay their staff their final paychecks.

The place is great, I’ve been in the past and the food is fantastic. I’d give it five stars if it wasn’t the second time I wanted to grab food well before the kitchen closes at least 30 mins and the kitchen “just closed”.

This ain’t it. Food was done without any love. Bland, chewy, cold and drippy. Tacos fell apart. Asada no seasoning. It was all bad. For the price it just wasn’t worth it. Do better because I don’t see it lasting long. Good luck

The chef's food was much better when he was at El Charlatan. The menu here is not as extensive. The appetizers were good, but the tacos were mediocre at best.
They had no liquor license the night we went. We weren't informed even though we made a reservation. There was no attempt to make the experience any better despite the lack of availability of some items.
One last disappointment: The AC blasted our food and made it cold very quickly.
I hope this place improves because I want it to succeed in the neighborhood.
I usually don't leave bad reviews about a place, since I am also a restaurant owner and I know that this greatly impacts the daily effort we make to keep our business afloat, but nevertheless, I had been wanting to come and try this place for more than a month. place since I saw it on IG in a video on a page that I love and I follow a lot, finally my husband and I took the time to have a date at this place, I arrived first, very excited to try the delights that they showed In his videos, when he arrived at the place I really liked the place itself, recently remodeled, with a beautiful mural at the entrance and everything looks new, a member of the staff came up to offer me a table, to which I responded that I was waiting to one more person, and I stayed waiting in the dining room outside, the waiter very kindly offered me something to drink, to which I said that I would like a drink prepared like the ones I saw in the video, and the young man responded that They didn't have an Alcohol Permit so I could bring my own drinks, which wasn't a bad thing since it wasn't the plan to go drink but to try the food, the options they had were only sodas, so I ordered a water, then The guy proceeded to mention to me that at the moment they did not have certain items on the menu available, he mentioned the tripitas, the hamburger bun and two other items, to which I responded that I came specifically for the Marrows, and he told me that neither I had them because they had already been removed from the menu ?, well I said maybe right now we order something that is available, when my husband arrives we proceed to take a seat, since he gives us the menus (which by the way are super small in terms of variety ) and with those items that he mentioned to us that they did not have because there were not many options to choose from, they have a section of the menu that is for Brunch but it is not well specified that they only serve it from 11am to 4pm so that section was not available ( fewer options still) so we ordered a Queso melted to start and continue looking at the menu, finally my husband decided to order some Lengua tacos, and a Tlayuda, I wanted to order some fish tacos and they didn't have fish ? then I changed my option for a Mexican Chicken noodle soup, and they didn't have it available either!!! ? so at that moment the annoyance was more than our hunger and my great disappointment at not having been able to try anything I wanted to order, so we just decided to cancel our order and only consume the melted cheese that was already on our table (which cost $15 Dlls) and it was no more than a bowl of about 10oz and the melted cheese seemed more like cheese whey because it was milky and half melted, quite bad to be honest, to which I told the waiter that well Half Menu was not available, have they had a lot of people? To which he replied that they did have a very busy weekend, but the thing is that it was already Wednesday Night!!! I don't know who is in charge or responsible for this place but from Restaurantero to Restaurantero I tell you that their menu is quite neglected! And although the boy tried his best to serve us well, it was clear that he was also upset by the situation! I really hope they improve their operations since they have it. A lot of potential but with this administration I don't think it will last long in business! I hope to return in the future and see some changes and I will gladly update this review! But so far it has been one of the worst experiences I have had in a long, long time! ? We decided to go somewhere else to pass the bitter pill of this experience... 2 glasses of water and a Half Melted Cheese (19 Dlls Approx) the prices are super high I hope the food is that good if one day I have to try it.

They did not have more than half of the menu available, food prices were super high and it really does not have the Mexican flavor.
Processed cheese……one of the few things they had available
I will definitely not return, it is not a place that leaves a good taste in your mouth.
The place is nice but nothing more…

I got served bad octopus and after two bites I sent it back and nicely asked for replacement of something crispy to avoid any problems of it being bad or undercooked. The waiter agreed to replace the plate. The soda was flat which I didn’t complain about that and kept on with my dinner. One of my family members asked specifically for unsweetened tea but was served raspberry tea. We didn’t complain since there was hardly anyone in that restaurant and felt bad for waiter/establishment. Come to my surprise my check comes with both plates on my check but with a ridiculous 20% off the octopus. Are you kidding me? I have to pay for bad seafood. Even after addressing this dissatisfaction with the waiter he said well you ordered it. Ridiculous experience.
