To Big Lou's owner and/or Management:
This review is inspired by the poker games that you host for the Nomad Poker League. Me and my husband have been to the Big Lou's on the West Side, as well as the one this review is about. We spend a lot of money and we tip really well. We are the type of customers you dont want to lose.
I have to ask- Has a manager ever been there while this league was running a game? You should be completely embarrassed to be associated with them. The couple 'in charge' get sloshed and fight to the extreme (literally scream like someone is dying) or the girl cries uncontrollably (or, in my experience, both). This happens in front of everyone throughout the game. Apparently, they have no shame.
That's bad, but it gets way worse. The league owners dont follow the standard rules of poker, which caused a fight amongst players in the two days I played (almost physical both times). One of those fights was at your establishment, Big Lou's and guess what? It was your very own poker hosts that were instigating it! They were defending the actions of a known cheater (Chili) because her and her husband spend a lot of money being the biggest drunks of all the players and being friends with the league owners. From what I've been told by a number of other players, Chili has been caught cheating several times but nobody does anything. I personally experienced the rules being bent to allow her unethical behavior. Again, Big Lou's has a manager ever attended one of these games? I can not imagine one has.
There's much, much more, but the main issues that I hold you partially responsible for are the ones described above. It's your responsibility to maintain a safe environment for your patrons. Allowing a rouge legue to operate the way they do is just playing with fire. People get mad when others are allowed to cheat. People dont want to spend their precious time around drunk couples fighting. I highly recommend you manage the chaos.
Last thing- Your bartenders are top notch and deserve a living wage for having to work in that environment. Unfortunately, we won't be back to either location, but hopefully, you'll step in before you lose more patrons.

Had went there one day ordered some wings was disappointed how small the wings and the customer service by the bartender Maritza was terrible. Definitely won't return and order wings again

Beer was not cold. I asked bartender to put some in ice and when I ordered another she gave me one from the fridge not one that was put on ice. I’ll go back to give it a second chance

Me and a group of friends usually go and enjoy a couple of drinks and the service was always great but this time we got treated very wrong. We ordered Jack and coke and the drink tasted terrible, we brought it up to our bartender's attention and told her the coke tasted flat, she said she was going to talk to her manager to check the machine and came back letting us know they were not going to have any mix drinks cause coke and squirt were not working, so we told her her we were not interested in nothing else so we proceed to walked out. The manager chased saying that even though the drink was bad, we left it that since we ordered we needed to pay for it. We replied that we returned the drink cause it was bad, he acted very rude and said that that was his problem . That we needed to pay for that bad drink even though we didn't drink it. Never again will I return to throw my money for a drink that wasn't made right and the way he handled it was terrible not even to try to fix the issue. Bad management.

There are 2 sides, one is to depressing for me. At least if it was a dive bar it would vibe, but this is just sad. The second side is a lot nicer, we didn't notice it till we where leaving.

Stopped by this place with a group of friends for some food and a drink. Service was good and food was even better. Big center bar with DJ on weekends. Place has a game room which also has a full bar with seating. Kitchen covers both.

The service, music, and drinks were great at Big Lou's and the game room. Had a great time with family and friends. I didn't eat anything, but I heard the food is good.

The service from this place is absolute garbage. My bartender Ashley or whatever her name is ignored me multiple times, not only that she put an extra 5 dollar tip on my receipt after I gave her a cash tip. The "owner" who drinks there possibly every night is just as bad talking to me very condescendingly, when I first went to get my money back, was no help. The next day i went to get my money is when he decided to speak to me appropriately when my husband was there with me. I will never come back to this bar, and for anyone who does come to this bar pay attention to how much you spend and how much of a tip you leave because if the bartenders WILL take more if they don't like your amount.

Do not go to this bar!! I went to notify them they charged me the wrong amount and said they would give me back my money. I went 2 times. Talked to young man with long hair. Now they just charged me 17 dollars for one dos x’s!!!!!! What scam artist. The bartender name is Ashely. She has red hair and always look as if she’s been drinking on the job. I will be filing a police report. Do not go to this bar!
