We love going to black bear dinner. The food is delish, the portions huge and a ton of options. But be prepared to wait for a table and food does take a while to come out.

Usually I enjoy eating at black bear but this particular place had me disappointed. I Placed an order for takeout, they forgot 2 things…My 2nd salad and my side of Italian green beans. Then I found what seemed to be a dog hair on my tomato for my other salad. And the fettuccine Alfredo sauce was watery, absolutely lacking in flavor!

This was our first time here and I was very disappointed. My breakfast food was not that good, the bacon and French toast taste like they warmed it up in the microwave, the ends of my french toast was so hard I couldn't stick my fork in it. the hasbrowns seemed they were scraped from the bottom of a burnt pot and no flavor what so ever. My Denver omelet was not prepared well at all. It was only 3/4 filled, vert little cheese on top, none on the inside. The orange slices and lettuce are nice touch but not needed, just my thought. My wife's food was way better than mine. I always give a place a second try before giving my truly honest opinion and overall rating. It could have been the time that we went, (11am), late breakfast.

Tri tip seemed over cooked, shrimp was delicious, broccoli was wonderfully tender before mushy, and sweet potato fries were wonderful. Would recommend and will come again. Needs more servers or I have bad timing.

Used to be an Iron Skillet at the Petro, and we had not been there in a while. To our very good surprise it is now the Black Bear Diner. Had a variety today so we were very happy with the entire visit. Will absolutely come back and highly recommend.

Awesome good and lots of it. My husband and I share a breakfast and take leftovers home. Pancakes are delicious and as big as the plate.

I have visited Black Bear Diner locations throughout the United States and typically am very pleased. Being a long haul truck driver and seeing one of my favorite restaurants with truck parking or in this case located in a major truck stop, the Petro Travel Center is usually a pleasant surprise. Not in this case however. I've stopped here twice within two weeks and both times have been disasters. The first visit I was informed I couldn't have several items on the menu for various reasons. The server could not keep my drink refilled for any reason, and getting a check to leave took 30 minutes. The second visit was far worse then the first. We asked to be seated at a booth and were told none were available yet i saw at least ten or more unoccupied with silverware placed readu for use and the couple that entered behind us was seated promptly in a booth. It took literally 55 minutes to get our food... we were told by our server that she was attending a larger party and couldnt help us. Our food arrived cold and old. I had Tri Tips and Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Mac and Cheese. Tri Tips were warm but dried out from sitting, chicken tenders was not warm but cold and dried out also, mashed potatoes were ice cold but gravy was Luke warm and the Mac and cheese was barely warm. My wife's food was equally bad for similar reasons.NEVER AGAIN will I visit here. It's sad you plan your outing trip, or dinner based on what should be an excellent experience and are treated this way at the ridiculous prices we pay to dine out these day.I would like to offer an observation, keeping in mind I'm not a prejudice person, the people of color who entered around the same time we did were taken care of quickly and accordingly... just saying.

It took 40 minutes for the waitress to show up. The building smells like petrol. Took them 10 minutes in order for them to get the card reader to work. The lemonade was good though.

When this place first opened the food was great, fresh tasting and hot. So this place became our favorite breakfast place. We went for dinner last night and the food tasted very microwaved, the plate was hotter than the food itself. Well we both got upset stomachs from the food. This place went down hill pretty quick. ??
