The "masa" is the bomb! I do wish they had a lil bit of more filling but the flavors are good. The rojo con pollo, are the most popular, so good. the pollo con chille Verde are my favorite. the chille con queso are good but it seems like they use a cheddar mix with a white cheese. I wished they used the a queso fresco cheese. Still the best tamales in EP.
The bread here is superb. It’s soft, fluffy, and flavorful. Finding pan dulce like this in town is hard so it’s always a pleasure to find a good bakery. However, the service left a lot to be desired.
Arriving an hour before closing, the lady at the counter was less than welcoming and claimed certain items were unavailable, despite them being visibly on display. Great pan dulce deserves equally great service. I hope this is addressed for future visits.

I was visiting El Paso and I could not leave without visiting Bowie bakery. Got some pan dulce and some red tamales, green chicken tamales and some queso with Chile. OMG they did not disappoint. And the lady behind the counter provided excellent service.
