Great traditional Hispanic food. From now through the end of lent, they will be offering traditional lent dishes on Friday's. Tortas de camaron con nopalitos en pipian, caldo de pescado, pescado a la veracruzana, chacales y capirotada and so much more! Thank you Cafe Mayapan!

I have been coming to Cafe Mayapan for more than 8 years. Lately, I have had terrible experiences and I am not talking about once. Four times in a row in less than a month mean EVERYTHING has been BAD. From the service and new contentious and forgetfulness of the front of the house and delay and poor quality the kitchen sent, not one bit all of the times something was wrong with at least one of the plates from me or others at my table, all of my recent visits. Yesterday a person that went frequently with me there, mentioned she had the worst experience and attitude from this once upon a time great place. I don’t know what happened but Cafe Mayapan had been a place I’d recommend and bring new people, unfortunately you are now on my questionable list, I do not feel like coming back as often as I did before. Long waits, poor service and low quality and flavorless food. I hope this review helps others and the location to improve.

I remember going to cafe Mayapan as a kid, and ordering their burritos. They were delicious then, and still are. I highly recommend the Fideo, it is a perfect dish for lunch. Their service is awesome, they make sure you are satisfied while letting y’all eat peacefully. The atmosphere reminds me or Durango, and ancient history. I really recommend Cafe Mayapan, for any time of the day!

Food is ok. Needs better taste or better chefs. Their customer service needs to step it up. Restrooms need to be more clean.

This place is amazing! The food is incredibly authentic, and you can really tell it’s made with love. The restaurant has a charming, rustic Mexican vibe, almost like a traditional mercado. The waitresses are friendly, and I appreciate that they speak both English and Spanish. I love how there’s plenty of seating available, which makes it a great spot to enjoy a meal. I often take my food to go, and the burritos are always a great choice for dinner. Highly recommend!

The best albondigas I've had in a minute.
Was feeling under the weather and needed some mom like cena.
Sweet lady brought me my soup and tortillas.
I left feeling better.
Don't get mad at me mom.
No one will ever beat yours.

Miguel

The absolute best place to eat traditional, southern Mexican food in El Paso hands down!
