The food is really good, the Cuban sandwich is very good but what makes it better is the fresh bread they use.

We had the carne frita encebollada with arroz mamposteado, sancocho with white rice and avocado, and the empanada tripleta. The carne frita was so good. it was fried to the perfect texture. the meat was tender and delicious. My bf liked the arroz mamposteado it was well seasoned. The Sancocho broth was so good. the vegetables and meat were tender and paired really well with the avocado and white rice. The thing we liked most was the empanada tripleta, the perfect meaty and salty taste of it was so good. When we can afford to we will be coming back again. Everything was very tasty including the lemonade.

Simply put, if you value consistency and good customer service, stay away. Imagine attempting to place an order and the server having a full blown side bar conversation on her personal phone that has nothing to do with her actual job.. yes, that was my experience. If you read the reviews, you'll quickly pick up on the customer service or lack thereof, as a common theme. It doesn't matter if the restaurant is empty or busy, when/if the server feels like taking your order unless you go up to the counter after becoming impatient from waiting, expect a MINIMUM 45+ minute wait depending on order. Lastly, its very easy to tell when a native Puerto Rican is operating the kitchen and when there is not, the food speaks on its behalf. If nothing I've said discourages your desire to visit, I hope you get to experience it on one of their good days. As I alluded to it in the beginning, consistency is lacking. Bring your wallets and deep pockets, you will need them. Sadly but unsurprisingly, the portions served don't correlate with the prices charge. ✌️ Cassava.

Authentic Puerto Rican flavors brought to El Paso all the way from San Juan. The servings are generous. The deserts are a must try so try to save some room for them.

Cubano sandwich was amazing. Owner is legit and the bread is made from scratch! Tres leches were amazing too. 100% recommend.

1st time- I did mentioned to the waiter and didn’t care to explain or suggest anything about the menu. Did not get a walking greeting or advised to sit anywhere. I had to walk to the counter to get the menu.
Food was okay- Sandwich Cubano is missing that Sazón Cubano! Good size portion. Empanada’s had very little filling although the flavor was good.

I always enjoy the food here. For first-timers, I highly recommend the Caribbean Sampler. The food is always fresh and had a great taste. They also have Caribbean fruit drinks and desserts.

Julie and I just stopped in on an impromptu "we're hungry" Saturday eastside drive. It was our first time here. We sampled the Beef Empanadas, tostones and of course a cubano. We were very pleased with the service and the food. The bread for the sammich was perfect. The pork was perfectly seasoned. The mojo and tostones on point. and they have a salsa verde that was delish. MAKE SURE TO GET YOURSELF A COCO RICO to wash it all down. 👍🏼👍🏼 and 5 ⭐'s. We will be back to try some of the other dishes soon

I called and asked to have a tres leches cake made recently for my grandfathers birthday. It exceeded expectations by far and the service was great. The gentleman Usvaldo(forgive me if misspelled) that was working with us was fantastic and very professional! First time customer and definitely will be returning. 5 ⭐️’s.

Delicious food. I ordered the Cuban sandwich but I will order pernil next time, it was in the sandwich. It was definitely made with love. I can only describe it as a meal that taste homemade and has a history. I truly enjoyed every bite, including the vanilla flan I had for dessert. If you want a taste of something different and satisfying I would recommend trying this place.
We have visit this place a couple of times and I feel each time gets a little worse. We waited 50mins to get our food today and my alcapurria was cold and one of them wasn't cooked all the way. The portions seemed to get smaller but prices are high. I love PR food but this makes me not want to come back. 😕
Cassava hasn’t missed in the last 5 times I’ve been there the cubanos are always on point and the service is amazing 5/5 recommend
I purse ordered the fried pork with rice. The good was good but I do believe the portion was very small for the total cost. I also ordered yucca fries and got 5 total fries. The total was 24 dollars. I have had Puerto Rican food many times and this was just okay. I don't think I'd return because of cost and portion size.
