I'm Puerto Rican, so I'm not qualified to judge "the best Mexican food in the area" as pretty much every review of any restaurant in the area says. But one thing I'll say, the stars on Chelito's menu are the burgers! Pics won't make justice to how great they are! Sure there's plenty of options for Tacos or flautas in downtown, but these burgers are tough to beat!

They have very good flautas. Since I tried them out foe the first time, I eat there about once a week.Edith always treats customers with a smile.

Had a good experience at Chelito’s. Read the good reviews so had to give it a try myself while in the area. I had the Steak and Chorizo tacos and they were very good. Only downside of my experience was that the music was almost too loud to even carry on a conversation with the other person at my table. I think it’s worth a try for sure the food was very good.

Flew into El Paso for the day and wanted to try one of the local restaurants for some quick food.*Service was excellent and super friendly.* I wanted to love the beef nachos (they look awesome), but the chips were a bit stale, too much nacho cheese, and the beef was overly salty. For the price, really can't complain much, but still disappointed. Service made it 4 stars, otherwise would have been 3.

The food is fairly priced and looks super tasty! Laura was very nice and welcoming! If you’re down town you should come by and check out Chelitos and see miss Laura!

Downtown El Paso doesn't offer many dinner options, and so when I saw all the good reviews for Chelitos, I had to try it out.GOOD: This might be some of the friendliest service I've ever had at a fast casual restaurant. Others have said this too, but I had to see it to believe it.I asked my friendly waitress what she recommended and right away she said the steak tacos. And they were good, solid Chihuahua-style meat taquitos; four to a plate, served with onions and cilantro (and optionally avocado and cheese). Ample meat portions, prepared nicely.MEH: My only criticism was that the steak was slightly too salty.

Best burritos I've had in El Paso. This is a small restaurant with some good lunch and breakfast offerings. Seems to be family run. I've always gotten great service and everything I've ordered has been delicious and very reasonably priced. They also had tamales for the holiday season and they were delicious. We are now regulars here.

The food is good and freshly cooked. The service is bad. Got warm fountain sodas because the didn't have ice. Eventually the ice arrived around when we were done eating. The staff is friendly but they need to step up the service if they want to survive in the food industry.

Awesome place to go eat a delicious burrito. Honestly, great place to get homemade delicious food. Eating there reminded me of my tia's cooking, serious nostalgia. Go support this local place!
