I've been going to Chicos tacos for 40 years and will travel from Albuquerque to El Paso to pick them up. I travel with a large cooler and stock up.wish they would add a location here in Albuquerque...
They are not "Tacos" they are more like a greesy flauta. I would not recommend Chicos Tacos for a tourist. How embarrasing that poeple actually recommend this restuarant to out of town visitors.
I had heard so much about this place so when i was in town I had to try it out. Everyone said there were always lines out the door. There weren't the day I went and we got waited on right a way. Order at the counter then they bring it to you. We had the double which is 6 rolled tacos. Single order is three. Look just like the picture on TripAdvisor.
