Good little Puerto Rican spot not far from Ft Bliss. Great lunch. Highly recommend the 1/2 plate, the food is way more filling than you think.

It's a little cozy place. The owner is very nice. The food is delicious 😋. Sadly, I live in Fort Worth. If not, this will be my place to go at least every week.

Absolutely love this AUTHENTIC homemade food from the Island. The owner is so kind and the portions are delicious and huge. I mean HUGE. The prices are phenomenal considering what you get. He was able to give us a whole 12 serving dish of Arroz within an hour timeframe on a weekend. If you’re not used to eating at small cozy simple establishments, please open your mind to El Coqui. This place is a gem in El Paso.

The owner allowed us to sample the main dishes. The portions are huge. The price is a little high but considering how much food you get it’s ok because you have enough for 2! The food was good and tasty. Loved the rice and beans. The pernil was very juicy. The place is hot but it was not too bad.
Parking: Parking is tight but available!

I love the place the owner is great he gave us samples of the different guisados to try. If you are looking for legit and authentic Puertorican food this is the place to go. I just wish they were open more hours but overall is a great place for lunch time. Price wise it’s not cheap but if you are really craving a little taste from the Island is totally worth it.
