Food was the star of the show, well presented and served fast. Great variety of drinks. Service was poor. Multiple items forgotten, had to remind our server several times for salsa and ended up getting the wrong one too.

Fine Mexican food with quality and gourmet presentation. The place was extremely clean and the service was kind and friendly. My wife and I absolutely loved it everything we ordered and will definitely be back to try everything else.

This is a very nice date night place. The ambiance and serve are always spectacular. The restaurant is clean, and parking is easy. I also appreciate the move from reservation only to having set hours. The food is good, but in some ways I feel they are trying too hard to be unique a d creative. There are several good options, and a few odd balls. I think perhaps offering a few more “traditional/simple/normal” options would be beneficial, and maybe even offering a “sampler” platter for those who are trying this place for the first time would help. All in all, this is a fun place to experience something new and experiment with different pallets and flavor profiles.

Excellent food, excellent service. Worth it to drive out of the way. The chocolate tamal dessert was unlike anything we've ever had - so good!

We’re very disappointed with the lack of judgment and poor attitude shown by the owner of this restaurant. Our family of four usually comes here for dinner on Saturdays. This time, three of us arrived first, and our daughter was just 10–15 minutes behind. Even though there were plenty of available tables, the owner refused to seat us until all four of us were present.
What made the situation worse was the way she spoke to us — completely dismissive and uninterested in hearing our side. It was clear that she didn’t care about us as regular customers or about basic courtesy. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we won’t be coming back.

Elemi on Eastlake stands out as a true culinary gem in Horizon City. The location itself is a highlight, featuring a full bar that serves up some of the best, most thoughtfully crafted cocktails you'll find anywhere. It's the perfect spot to start your evening, with a drink that is as impressive as the food to follow.
We started our meal with the cucumber appetizer, and what a unique and fresh way to begin. This isn't your typical starter; it's a dish that’s so vibrant and clean, it perfectly prepares your palate for the incredible flavors to come.
For the main course, we had the ribeye. Let me be clear—this isn't a steakhouse, but it's hands down the best marbled, seasoned, and cooked steak you'll find in all of Horizon City. This steak is so perfect, you wouldn't dare contaminate it with anything like A1 sauce; in fact, I'd bet they don't even carry that condiment. It's a testament to the quality of the meat and the skill of the kitchen.
To complement the ribeye, the blue corn tortillas were a revelation. Made hot and fresh to order, they were simply wow, just wow. They are a must-have and truly elevate the entire meal.
To finish, the chocolate tamale was an absolute showstopper and an unforgettable way to end the meal. Elemi on Eastlake truly does not disappoint. Last but not least give it up to world class service from Jorge with the great menu recommendations and superb service. You will not be disappointed at Elemi.

My husband and I snuck out on a late Saturday evening, leaving our son with his grandparents, in order for a little mental health break. We had been eyeing this restaurant for months but just hadn’t had the chance to go. I am kicking myself now. I could have been eating this place all this time?! From the excellent service, to the beautiful plating and presentation, all the way down to the quality ingredients and complex flavors….i didn’t want to leave! It was a reasonably priced dinner for two considering the quality of the food. I was even able to get a delicious mocktail (over 800 days sober)! For alcohol drinkers, there are plenty of options for sipping tequilas and mixed drinks. The restaurant is small and cozy, expect a bit of a wait if you go at probable busy times (weekends, etc), my husband and I sat at the bar and had the best time. We will definitely be back very soon. Highlights? The esquite for an appetizer and the arroz con leche for dessert. I didn’t even get pictures of those plates, they did not last long! The flautas are pictured with the review…drool worthy! I am gluten free due to celiac disease and I was so pleased to find out that most menu items were gluten free! It felt so good to know that the staff was well trained on their food ingredients and preparation. We will definitely be returning, soon, hopefully!
