I read the reviews, and went in hopeful for a great pre-Valentines Day meal. I have thought long and hard about how to write this review, I have rarely given a bad review because I know how much it could hurt the business.

Let's talk Atmosphere 1st. It was generally loud, we weren't expecting it to be so loud, the background music was loud (and kind of droning 90s sound) enough that everyone had to raise their voice over the music, adding to the overal volume. Not a nice romantic dinner for 2.

The open kitchen would be great except something smoked up the whole restaraunt enough that they turned the AC on to clear it out (and make it rather cold inside this cool February night). Top this off with the management allowing a man to solicit each table with flowers for sale. For a $200 meal I would not have expected any of these concerns, let alone all of them. 😞

Service was alright. Our waters had 1 refill in the 2.5hr experience. I definitely rate service by how often I have an empty glass. Nobody came by while food was still on the table to hear what I will write below about food. It was what I would expect and have no complaints from at Denny's.

I have eaten at high quality restaurants all around the country, and I had an expectation for a French cuisine service and a level of attentiveness for a $40+ tip, I was grossly disappointed.

Now to the food. There was no French bread, or any finger food to help with the wait. We ordered the Terre & Mar (Steak, Lobster, Prawns, and Scallops) plus dessert. The flavor profile was good, but after waiting nearly an hour the food came out generally lukewarm to cold. Talk about disappointing.

The first bite was totally deflating after such a long wait. The steak was a perfect pink, and would probably have been melt in your mouth good if served warm. The prawns and scallops were not overcooked (a common plague in El Paso), and again if served warm would have been worthy of praise. The Lobster was rubbery, probably from sitting in the sauce too long. If someone was available to help, and I could reasonably expect to eat before midnight, I would have sent it back.

Honestly, I could go on, but I want to give the benefit of the doubt, the room was full, probably more than the staff could handle. Most dishes were smaller and moved quickly (most tables which were sat after us, had food before us). We have had amazing French dining experiences across the US and ordered the meal we did, thinking it would be similar. This expectation may have driven some of my angst with the evening. I hope your experience is better.

During my recent visit to EntrecĂŽte & Co in El Paso, I was disappointed with the meal. The calamari was tasteless and tough, lacking the expected tenderness. The ribeye steak, which I anticipated to be a highlight, arrived cold, diminishing its flavor and appeal. Similarly, the braised short rib was served cold, making it less enjoyable. While the restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere and a menu inspired by classic French cuisine, these shortcomings in food quality overshadowed the dining experience.

Decent food. Great drinks! Service for my party of 2 was not good unfortunately for the cost associated. I expect more attentive service for the high cost of this establishment.

My partner and I went for Valentines Day. I sent my steak back because it was underdone and by the time it came back out, my partner was done. I sent it back to the kitchen. Not worth the price for the experience we got, but the escargot were good. Overall disappointed

Beautifully prepared cuisine, including some French-Mex crossover dishes such as duck-confit tacos. Outstanding service, especially from Benjamin Leo, the service captain.

Addendum: Their response just shows that they could care less about the quality of the service or their food which was a bigger issue than not having the dish I wanted.

Worst anniversary dinner in 39 years together. Service was slow and not synced well. All our waiter did was take our order and come around and ask if we were okay. His assistant did his job well and was one who actually served us almost everything. Neither the hostess or the waiter bothered to tell us that the dish I wanted was not available until I attempted to order it. Only similar option was $20 more so I opted out of a main course and went to Corner Bakery afterwards. If they had offered me the alternative for the same price as what I wanted I might have gotten it, but frankly it's inexcusable that they don't have items that are on their menu. Wine is very overpriced - $14 for less than 1/2 glass and it's a wine that you can buy for $18 a bottle at Walmart. Escargot were a 2/10 due to being super tiny and no garlic in the butter. Scallops were 10/10 (great sauce/flavor), Onion soup 6/10, Chilean Sea Bass 7/10. they tried to appease me by bringing a free glass of wine and a cake for our anniversary. My husband took them both because I wasn't going to drink more on a fairly empty stomach and didn't want dessert before I ate something. Cake was a 2/10 according to my husband. Also manager came out on the floor but did not come ask how our meal was nor apologize. That was a first for us in all our years of eating out and occasionally have something go wrong. Definitely will not go there again.

I had seen so much about this place and had been begging my husband to take me. Well he did this past Saturday for my birthday, to say I was unsatisfied is an understatement. We arrived and our waitress Karen was not warm or welcoming right off the bat. I don't know how to explain it, It felt like we were an inconvenience to her. We ordered the escargot as an app and it was alright not terrible. For our meals I ordered the 42 dry aged ribeye and my husband got the regular ribeye. Mine and his steaks were both severely burnt...you could taste the charcoal from the grill more then the meat itself and there was hardly any seasoning i had to ask for salt to get some sort of flavor. The risotto and asparagus were alright. I think what got me more upset was that our waitress hardly ever came to check or acknowledge us all the while I see this other male server going above and beyond for his table, even going as far as to buy them tequila shots. While I couldn't even flag mine down unless she walked past us. You can tell they know their regulars because the stark difference from how they were treated and how we were treated was a huge vast difference. To top it off I had read that for birthdays you get a complimentary cake, we were offered nothing. I asked my husband when he reserved if they asked for the reasoning and he said he wrote that it was for my birthday so I know they knew. It was just overall a terrible experience and the only saving grace was having my husband there for company and that is it. Overall I wanted to enjoy it because I had saw and read so many good things but it was the opposite. How can you expect new customers to become regulars when they are treated like they're unwanted??? Overall I would not recommend.

Atmosphere is on point, not many places like this in El Paso. Prices are reasonable and the food was very delicious except for my steak was overcooked for how I asked for it, and the “char” was a bit excessive. The service could have been MUCH better, and did not even get to eat desert because they close the kitchen an hour before they close the restaurant, and that is also where service comes in, the server should have came and asked if we wanted to order desert before the kitchen closed but that did not happen. Not sure if I would recommend or return again.

Food was good but a waiter by the name of Benjamin added an 119$ tip to my 123$ order. Also he charged me for a meal that was not my order. The management of my money was not up to par and Benjamin tried to take advantage so watch out for him

I had order online, to have a stay at home date. Once I had got there at the time it had gave me my order would be ready, the restaurant had no idea of my order. I had order a charcuterie board and two crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e. They had made me wait a hour for a charcuterie board and still forgot my crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©es . I had call to let them know and they promised to mail a gift card it’s been a month later and still haven’t got nothing. Very disappointed considering this was one of my favorite restaurants.

Service was too attentive. We could not carry on a conversation. Food was decent but overpriced . Chocolate mouse was not good. The bar is not well stocked for specialty drinks. Will not be going back.

Be aware of their absurd cancellation policy: $25 per person if you don't cancel 3 days ahead.

Does anybody really believe they're losing $25 of someone else's business if you don't give them 72 hours notice? Has anyone ever seen a place that high end in a strip mall with a nail salon and a postal annex? No, they probably just get so few customers that if a sucker makes a reservation, they can't afford to not take some money anyway.

This place will be bankrupt within a year.

I recently dined here and overall, the experience was delightful. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a charming French aesthetic that sets the mood perfectly. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. However, I was disappointed to see foie gras on the menu. The production of foie gras involves shoving pipes down the throats of ducks or geese to force-feed them, causing immense pain and distress as their livers are fattened to an unnatural size. This practice is inhumane and unnecessary and because of this, many restaurants no longer serve foie gras. I sincerely hope Entrecote considers removing it. If they do, I’ll happily update this review to 5 stars. I also encourage other diners to refrain from ordering it and instead enjoy the many other outstanding dishes they offer.
