Have you been to Ristorante Casanova? It's an Italian restaurant located inside the DoubleTree hotel in downtown El Paso. I had an interesting experience there! I met up with a friend for lunch and decided to try a few items: meatballs, salad, and the short rib pappardelle. To my surprise, when my short rib pasta arrived, it had chimichurri on top. I had never tried that before, but honestly, it was delicious! The chimichurri added a lot of flavor to the housemade pasta and enhanced the taste of the short rib. I told my friend that it reminded me of Argentinian food because Argentinian cuisine has a strong Italian influence. I would suggest that they rebrand the restaurant as an Argentinian eatery since that's what it tasted like. They also had negronis. Argentinians love negronis, I would love to see Träkál on the menu, the Patagonian Negroni, which is a South American twist on the classic Italian aperitif. I believe an Argentinian restaurant would be well-received here in El Paso. The food at Ristorante Casanova is absolutely delicious, and the panna cotta dessert was divine! The service was attentive, and our waitress was actually supposed to be at the Asian night market but ended up in California, so she provided us with some great recommendations. This place is perfect for a quiet lunch or a casual meeting spot for drinks. I would definitely come back. Still on the lookout for a good Italian spot, but overall, this is a fantastic dining experience.-TODOELPASO Ristorante Casanova inside the DoubleTree Downtown 600 El Paso St, El Paso, TX 79901

My 3rd visit here. Loved this visit and the first visit. Did not love the 2nd visit and was happy to see the improvement. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was very tasty.

my boyfriend took me here last night for our first valentine’s dinner. our server elena did a great job explaining the menu even though she was new to working there she said. and she was so nice and friendly and even after we paid she still kept checking in on us and giving us refills on our waters. the short rib pasta was also so good, ill probably come back to try out the full regular menu next time

Went to the bar to went to the bar for some dessert and ordered the cheesecake. It was very good with blueberry and strawberry topping. Bartender was very prompt and courteous.Parking: Parking is at an utmost premium at this hotel restaurant. Very few street parking options and even the hotels own parking lot is extremely limited outdoor pad behind the building.

Good food is easy to fine. Good service is a little more difficult. You will find neither here.

Came here for a dinner date for some Italian food. I should've known that it wasn't going to be great when the hostess and the waitress were rude as soon as we walked in. The menu is limited and the food that they have available feels like it's trying to be something it's not. I had asked for a coke and lemonade and they said all they had was water and unsweetened tea. I also had ordered two alcoholic drinks that were disgusting. The waitress did not ask for our ID when we ordered them but came back later to ask for them as if we were going to try and get some drinks illegally which I found disrespectful. The food was more expensive than it needed to be. Two drinks, an appetizer and two entrees came out to 100$. If it were me, I would say it's more of a 50$ value. They have a live band which I thought would be nice but turns out that it's just unappealing and the music being played is not romantic at all. I would say don't come here if you want Italian dining. Go somewhere else.

This place is a hidden gem. Went in for a family meal with out of towners and were universally impressed with the food and a great server. My dad said his steak slices were the best he’s had in months. And successful innovative flavors, like cherries with gnocchi (which were cooked perfectly). Only note was the panna cotta for dessert was too firm.
