Haven’t been there in years but decided to go there today. Still the same decor still same atmosphere and still great food. Takes you back to the old days. Staff very friendly and fast. And also a big plus that you have a mix of young and experienced workers.. this kind of place is where you go to have comfort food without a high price and you can have a conversation unlike most new places where the music is blasting so loud you can’t hear….go them a try….
I was so disappointed with the food . The prices was to steep for the quality. The cobbler was awful I tried the peach and the dough was not cooked. The cherry my husband ate and the dough was hard. My shrimp had no flavor .the chicken was bland and even the rolls had no flavor. The ice tea was not fresh. The people at the counter was nice but that was the only highlight in my awful meal.

I always get the chicken fried steak meal for my mom and me on Tuesdays and Fridays. For the sides we always have corn and mashed potatoes. Today I got spoiled corn ? my stomach hurts. Be careful. Stop serving spoiled corn please.

My boss pissed me off so I left work early and came here for breakfast. It was really tasty and I like the calmness of the restaurant. There weren’t many people and it wasn’t chaotically loud. A great place to sit and enjoy a nice meal in peace and quiet.

I went yesterday and asked for a breaded chicken plate with corn and mash potatoes and gravy. I have been eating at this place for years. This particular time, the chicken was pink raw. When I spoke with the manager she was short and stocky lady. She was rude and unprofessional in her handling the issue. She told me that she would give me another plate of the same thing. I told her the chicken is raw why would I want another plate of the same raw food. She did not even give me a refund of the money I spent. This person needs some training on handling clients in a professional manner. It was a let down years of trust in this business down the drain.

The entire restaurant needs a good cleaning and updating. We had a fried steak sandwich and a meatloaf plate. Both meats seemed like they had been kept under a heat lamp for some time because they were chewy. When I asked for some mayonnaise for my sandwich, they said they were out.
