Food is always great. Only soul food in El Paso...pricey but you pay for what you want.

I spent $43 for what turned out to be one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a long time. I’m pretty pissed honestly. We received just two small chicken legs and waffles that were half-cooked and soggy—definitely not what you'd expect for that price.
The neck bones? So salty they were almost inedible. It was mostly fat and very little meat. The collard greens were lacking flavor and care, I had to add vinegar just to make it better. The only thing that was okay was the yams, even though it was mostly smashed. For the cost, I expected a hearty, well-prepared down south type meal, but this felt thrown together with zero attention to quality or balance.
I called multiple times to see if I could talk to someone, but it just goes straight to voicemail. I wanted to support this spot, but unfortunately, I won’t be coming back & definitely not recommending it to anyone. Way too expensive for food that tasted rushed (though it took 40 minutes to receive), overpriced & poorly made. Best bet is to pull up to Cracker Barrel before this.

I have been craving Cajun food and been wanting some fried chicken. I didn't know El Paso has a soul food/Cajun place until I checked Google. I am so glad I tried this place. Food was amazing! 🤤 Came in so fresh and hot! The menu looks amazing. I love how they actually have fried chicken 🍗 instead of just wings like a lot of Southern restaurants usually offer. The owner, Gerard was also very welcoming and very hospitable. I love the old school R&B music playing in the background. I will definitely be back to try the oxtails and everything else on the menu. Oxtails are only on Thursday! Highly recommend this place. Thank you, Gerard for the warm service.
Its closed has a cone in front of place tied down and the website says open unless they moved but no sign to say where
Excellent customer service, delicious soul food, and clean restaurant.
As an El Paso native, I didn't think there were any soul food restaurants.
The staff was very hospitable, kind, courteous, and helpful.
My complaints were the almost hour wait for my order and being out of greens on a Sunday afternoon. The macaroni & cheese would've been great with spreading the cheese all over the pan, instead of finding clumps of cheese in the corner.
The decor was simple with a touch of class. I enjoyed the food and would try them again.
They got bomb ass food 🔥🔥😎
Customer service was GREAT.!! Far as my food I don’t know if it’s what i ordered, but the fried cabbage was super greasy. Personally I didn’t like the sauce on the crab legs, and the man n cheese wasn’t that soul food mac n cheese. Maybe I’m just stuck on my east coat Ga food. It wasn’t nasty but wasn’t great.

The Best Soul Food Spot in El Paso and it’s not even close. Still doing Renovations to the place because they just opened but I’m ready to see once they’re up and running.

Food was good but you better be ready to wait. Took over an hour to be served. Service was not great, owner was worried about leaving and not her customers. Was hoping for a more at home southern hospitality environment, did not get. Disappointed.

Seafood boils are bomb catfish is good. My first time trying yams I wasn’t a fan personally. I was really disappointed in the pigs feet it was just sticky and gelatinous: I was disappointed in the severe lack of flavor idk but definitely have had better pigs feet. I will say my most favorite items here are the deserts that peach cobbler and banana pudding are outta this world like one order of each it just ain’t enough tbh it’s so damn GOOD!!! I just wish the service wasn’t slow in my experience to just pick an order I end up waiting outside for an additional 20 min. Why I’m not sure I just know when I go even if it’s just for the deserts I know ima be there waiting a min. They worth it though in opinion like I said one order ain’t enough!
Amazing food, definitely recommend getting the chicken wings. Best soul food spot in town!
