Drove by this restaurant on 12/10/25 and remembered they had a Wednesday gordita special, so I decided to stop and grab a plate. I shared it with my son when I got home.
Unfortunately, in the middle of the night, we both woke up with severe abdominal pain and the usual stomach issues that come with that. This was the only food my son and I ate that my wife and other son didn’t, which makes me believe the illness may have come from this meal.
I’m sharing our experience so the restaurant can look into it and so others can be aware. The woman at the counter who helped me was very kind and friendly. I’m still undecided if I’ll give this place another try.

they dont ask you if you want a refill you need to go ask we order aome burgers and fries they gave us one hand full so we ordered some fries it was a waste of time got the same amount for almost $5 ridiculous

Ive been coming here my whole life for the gordita but I recently noticed they started tasting really different. Kinda like they’re using potted meat for them instead of ground beef. Bummer

Cooks were not wearing hairnets and I found a long hair in one of my tacos. The tacos I ordered were not the ones I ordered. I had paid for shredded beef and had gotten ground beef instead. The meat in my tacos was also bright pink and looked more like beans than meat to me. Many things I ordered from there were not what I had paid for.

Omg! We order some gorditas for work. We got the family packs. It was great and delicious 😋. This felt like real Mexican food i grew up with. The salsa was awesome, the gorditas are very filling and they made sure to stuff them. I love this restaurant and the feel of community. Thank you for the food!
First time there. I had the two eggs breakfast. It was okay. Service to slow. There was around four people including myself in the restaurant.
Nothing bad or good to say. The price was good.

I've been a customer of JJs for 15 years! My favorite plate is the gordita family platter. I have ordered it for home dinners, partys and for my employees. I have always received the gordita family platter with all the ingredients on the side. I have never had to ask for them to separate the vegetables and or cheese. Today for the first time my order was delivered with all 12 gorditas packed with tomatoe, lettuce and cheese! I though maybe they made a mistake. So i called. No , basically from the beginning this person by the name of Maria said I was wrong, he said it was Ubers fault , he said it was my fault! I explained that for a large platter it didnt make sense to have them prepared at the restaurant because of travel time and all ingredients would make the gordita soggy. I was polite but Maria didnt let me speak and she denied any resolution but to wait a week till the manager is back from vacation. What a disappointment and I feel sadden I will never go back to Jjs and most definitely will not recommend them. One of my kids cant eat tomatoes and the other one is allergic to cheese! That I cannot change, but this order could have been redone correctly and deliverd to me again. I would have paid for it. But no, Maria decided to blame me and uber. I hope this review helps customers specify their family pack orders. Thank you for allowing me to post my review.
