I went in for sushi and noticed they have majorly increased their prices, I would suggest they upgrade their scratched and beat up furniture so that the environment reflects the prices.
I had a reservation at 8:15 pm. I came earlier so I waited to take a seat. When I got table. I had to wait 50 minutes, and then the chef started. So long.

First time I had visited was great, I went yesterday for a second time and it was good. Food was a little salty for my taste, service was great, very attentive.

The food was great, you definitely get the hibachi experience. Service is attentive and fast.
However, it’s the middle of summer, and their AC was out. Being that it’s a hibachi restaurant, it’s clearly very hot in there due to these hot grills and constant fire shows.
Halfway into my dinner, I was dripping sweat, my back was drenched, and quite frankly I had to eat my food in a rush along with my party because the heat was so unbearable.
I understand it’s not their fault that their AC, but no initiative was taken to maybe go out and buy a few fans, or just do something to make customers more comfortable in a space where it’s already warm even with AC.

Let me start off by saying this is not a bad review about the food as the food was great and the service was good too. The problem I have with this place which is going to make me stop going there is the way they handle their gratuity. Its always been an issue where if you sit on the teppan grill they charge you gratuity automatically even if you are a party of 2 people but you sat with strangers. They have told us well there was a party of 8, but we tell them yeah but it was just 2 of us. Typically we've been able to get them to remove the auto-gratuity because they than say its how their computer system just automatically does it, which is BS. Other excuses we have gotten is because it was a special day like mothers day or valentines day that they automatically charge gratuity for those days. Okay fine we accepted that and make sure we don't go on those type of days anymore. Today though wasn't one of those days, they sat us with another group and charged us 20% gratuity. They wouldn't remove as they say they auto charge it with parties of 4 or more, which is crazy as I've never heard of it under 6 or more. So basically if you have a family of 4 get ready to be charged 20% gratuity automatically. Tipping is supposed to be based on service, what happens if you get horrible service but still get auto-charged 20% that's wrong. Luckily on this day the service wasn't bad so didn't have a complaint there but still because of these continued practices, I can no longer give this establishment my business which is a shame as the food is always good. I should have done what other guests did, we both ended up tipping the chef cash but when we found out about this auto 20%, he made sure to get his tip back from the chef (as they say the tip on the check is split with the chef). Again food is great and if you don't mind getting auto charged 20% gratuity than by all means give this place your business but I no longer can do so.

Bad news upfront, even with the reservation it took about 10 minutes for us to get seated.
The food was very tasty! The grill was a really fun experience. The table we shared with another family provided good conversation. The chef was very friendly and demonstrated real skill at the grill.
I totally recommend. This would be a nice place if you're wanting to make an impression, celebrating an occasion.

We went for a business dinner. My co-workers and I took our managers from out of town to dinner and was recommended this business.
The gentleman who cooked our dinner was very rude and made racist remarks.
A few of my co-workers were speaking spanish and the cook said ya ya ya taco bell, taco bell. Then my manager who is Puerto Rican was telling him she was from Miami and he made fun of the way she said Miami.
I did not like how he did not even give them the experience of hibachi. Very sad.
The waitress was amazing and sweet she gets 5 stars but the cook was terrible. This was not the experience I wanted our managers from out of town to have nor did I want them to get this bad impression of El Paso. This was my first time going to Koze and it is sad that I brought it to the attention of the person who runs their Joe Battle FB page and I requested a call back from the manager and I have yet to receive one.
I would not recommend this location at all.

Our service was good and so was the food. I need to comment on a waitress that was working, but was not our server, thank God. She was wearing makeup and had her face made up in a very freaky way. I requested that we would not be seated in her area. It was very inappropriate for a restaurant, or any business to have a mask on like this lady was wearing. Your job is not a place for individual expression. It is a business. If I had seen her on the street, I would have been shocked, but it is her choice how to look in public. NOT in a restaurant. I could not keep quiet about this. But we had an enjoyable meal, and will return.
