What happened to this place? If you ask for masa “preparada”, then you should get exactly that! We asked for 20lbs of masa preparada and did not receive the same. Unfortunately, 7 dozen tamales in and after cooking them, they were raw. If in fact it was “preparada”, this means that it is ready to spread, fill with meat, wrap and cook. Then why were they still raw after 1-2 1/2 hours of cooking time. What a waste of money, time, and energy - a huge disappointment. 1 day to Christmas and we’re without tamales - NOT COMING BACK! Note: Check the masa before you cook.

The masa is one of the best in El Paso, but make sure they weight the masa in front of you because they have not been honest about it. Last time, I was short by 1/2 lbs.. in a 5 pound bag.. and almost 1 lb in my 10 lbs bag.
