Great food overall, fast and accurate. The gumbo, having the privilege of having the experience of tasting in it's city of origin, could use a tune up when it comes to the authenticity of what gumbo should be. I will pay my props to their clam chowder, highly recommended! Great atmosphere and service from the staff! The bourbon custard style dessert, to die for!❤️🙏

I ordered my usual fried cod tacos and some ceviche.
Only restaurant in El Paso that has maintained consistency in flavor and portions for the last few years. I first patroned the restaurant since back in 2018, I believe - pre-COVID. I have always enjoyed their tacos, ceviche and Ahi Tuna.
I mention COVID because so many restaurants in El Paso have failed or changed a lot flavor profiles and such. Not this place.
As you can see by the photo - not a trace of my tacos because I devoured them. I still have ceviche left for tomorrow's break or lunch.
Not the best photos, I know, both items are delicious.
Great job, Mac's place!

Me and my husband and I have been coming to this restaurant regularly. Mac's @ downtown El Paso serves fresh seafood, Cajun/Creole, and classic American comfort food. Mac's offers clam chowder, shrimp po' boys, jambalaya, and lobster mac and cheese. Staff are very accommodating.
I love their clam chowder and gumbo. The fried oysters are superb. I opted not to get the french fries that come with it. I wished they would make them crispier.

Lobster Mac and Cheese was DELICIOUS! *Chefs Kiss* I’ve lived in El Paso all my life and decided to come try the food. It did not disappoint! Food amazing. Michelle our server was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be coming by more often.

The customer service was was excellant, the seafood soup was great. Being from the south, I make it a point to try the shrimp and grits whenever available. Not to be harsh but my experiance today was less than desirable. I attempted, but I just could'nt stomach the grits. Way too thick and the shrimp didnt taste like fresh shrimp. No taste at all actually. I was upset for not asking the cost. I paid $22 plus tax for 5-6 shrimp, grits left in the bowl.
I will say, this experience will not make me not return. Just not for the shrimp and grits!!
Making grits is a prefence to how you like them. Unfortunately, I did'nt prefer how they were made during my visit.

Super friendly staff and amazing food! definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had in El Paso!
We enjoyed lunch here on the first day of summer - it felt like an oasis, cool and clean. The food was good and the desserts were great. If anything could use improvement, it would be that the beer could be just a bit colder.
