McAlister's Deli

I work around the area and me and my coworkers like going in there because the food is good but everytime I have gone in, all the workers seem so over that job. They are all rude and can’t even greet you correctly. I see some of the girls sit in the front and talk on the phone for minutes, sometimes hours all happy and smiling. But when you go in as a customer they can even look at you in the eyes. If you don’t like working with customer service look for another job! its not that hard to be nice and smile to the people going into your business.

I had a wonderful meal yesterday but the young man behind the counter was so sweet! Gabriel helped me navigate the menu, helped me with my food restrictions, and didn’t make me feel weird with the modifications I needed.

It was my first time here and I will not go again or recommend it to anyone other than to tell them not to go! I’d give them zero stars for the food! We ordered two sandwiches with avocado, the avocado was way past due. The manager made the sandwich herself and when I asked her if she’d eat that avocado herself she said no; but I guess it’s ok to serve it to customers!! She said they are supposed to use all the old food first and based on my sandwhich I took that to mean that it does not matter what the food looks like. So, if the cheese is moldy serve it anyway is what I gathered. Also, the potato soup tastes straight out of a can. So overall I don’t recommend this place and if you go anyway examine your food carefully to ensure it is not brown, moldy, or otherwise spoiled. And don't be the first customer of the day because for sure you'll get the old food! I suppose that's why the place was empty that should have been a red flag not to eat there. But, never again will I eat at another McAlister's Deli in El Paso or anywhere else for that matter.

Always get bad customer service when I come here. I walked in and said hi to the employee, I think his name is Gabriel. He just ignored me so I ordered the jalapeño Turkey crunch , and he asked what side I wanted, I said I didn’t know it came with a side and he said yeah and pointed at them on the menu so I picked the chili soup. Turns out the side doesn’t come included, otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered it . So I paid extra , I’m guessing they do that to sell more items per transaction. They need to be trained on better customer service, it’s everytime that I go that they’re rude !

What a neat place. Clean and a very efficient friendly staff. The carrot cake was absolutely to die for. I had them microwave it for 15 seconds and it came out so moist and tasty.

I haven't been/ordered from here in quite a while. Boy have things gone down hill. Despite my order being correct on the receipt, they got my order wrong. Also they used to really pack in the meat, which made dropping 21.oo on a sandwich worth it. This time around there was barely enough beef to cover the sandwich in a thin layer. There was more cheese than meat! Doubling up the meat onto one side doesn't even come close to how packed they made theses in the beginning. So sad that theses establishments fall victim to the people working behind the counter. May they always receive the service they give!

I’m giving this place a 1 star alone based on the fact every time I come here it smells like sewer/sulfur. I have brought it up and the people that work here says management won’t do anything. Food is good only reason I come but I would never dine in.

Food is solid, the best option in my opinion is the choose two. It’s hard to justify playing $10+ for a potato on its own outside of that deal. Service is good, I’ve had good experiences both dining in and taking out.

No A/C on building is insane! Horrible!

I expected more for the price. I don't think we will be back. I rather go to Subway for sandwiches.

I like it here. Their portion sizes are great ? The food is also tasty. I ordered the “choose 2” option and I don’t think I can finish both half’s on my own. For only $13 in total I definitely think that I got my moneys worth.
