A Masterclass in Mismanagement and Poor Customer Service
I’ve given this McDonald’s location more than enough chances—and unfortunately, every single visit reaffirms just how poorly run and frustrating it is.
I always place my order via the McDonald’s mobile app before arriving, usually to save time and avoid waiting. The app consistently sends a notification within 30 seconds claiming that my meal is “ready for pickup.” But here’s the reality: when I arrive—typically 3 to 5 minutes later—the food is never ready. Not once. Instead, I find myself waiting an additional 5 to 15 minutes at the store.
During that wait, good luck trying to get help. The entire staff is usually hiding behind a newly installed wall that completely blocks visibility and access. Customers are left standing around, ignored, wondering if anyone even works there. When an employee does eventually emerge, the attitude is either completely unprofessional or downright rude. I’ve been ignored, had questions brushed off, and even watched staff turn their backs mid-conversation.
The store's management appears to be completely checked out. Not only is the customer service abysmal, but there also seems to be blatant dishonesty in how order readiness is reported. Marking orders as “ready” when they clearly are not is either a systems flaw or—more likely—a way for the staff to falsely improve service time metrics. Either way, it's deceptive and frustrating for customers.
Let’s talk bigger picture for a moment: McDonald’s has only managed a 2% year-to-date stock increase. It’s no mystery why. McDonald’s used to be fast, friendly, and affordable. This location reflects exactly what the company has lost—efficiency, customer service, and trust.
If you want to experience the absolute worst of what fast food has to offer, this McDonald’s will not disappoint. Horrible management. Broken service model. Disrespectful staff. And a corporate system that seems more focused on metrics than actual customer satisfaction.

If the same problem keeps happening at that point it's not a single person who is at fault but the fault of an incompetent team. You guys can't seem to answer one of the drive through and then leave the cars at the reserved spots for a long time as if you have all forgotten they are there. And this is not the first time it has happened. It is my own fault for coming back but it had been months I would have hoped the issues would have been resolved.

This place is dirty! The staff members dont care about cleanliness. I sat and watched a worker flirting with a group of guys for a good 5min and never went to clean anything. I ordered chocolate milk shakes and they tasted dingy, dirty, and just pure rotten. When I told them about it, they offered me MORE milk shakes. Excuse me? Im not drinking that dirty stuff! I will never be bringing my kids back to this location. I will be contacting corporate about the state of this establishment

Do not come to this location. My friend and I had a terrible experience here. We ordered food and specifically asked for a burger without cheese, as my friend has a serious intolerance to dairy. Unfortunately, the burger still came with cheese, not once, but twice even after requesting a replacement.
At that point, yes, my friend was upset. Rightfully so. He can’t eat dairy, and they just kept getting the order wrong. But things escalated in the worst way. The kitchen manager, Celeste, called the police and made a false report, claiming my friend chased her around with a knife. That never happened, not even close.
We were shocked. Instead of fixing their repeated mistake, they chose to lie and make things worse. It was an awful experience, and no customer should be treated like that.

As always I won't rate the taste of major fast food chains since they will taste same everywhere unless somehow they screw it up really badly.
The location on 7900 Mesa has gone down heavily over the years. The service is significantly slower and way more awful awful. I already tend to not come here very much anymore, but 20 minutes the drive thru with only 2 cars in front is insane. Not worth it for the quality and speed at all. And all I wanted was 1 order of fries. Thats it.
Employee with bad attitude

Ever since their renovation the service is extremely slow.
Pretty sad when a friend tells you that while the time she was at this #McDonalds 7900 N Mesa St, El Paso, TX 79932, not once did anyone come out from behind the counter/kitchen area to clean the tables in the dining/lobby area. She was there for quite a while, and she said it had gotten busy.
EDIT****I'm adding this to my review from TWO months ago.
I ordered a large coffee off of the McD app and there is an option to have them bring the coffee to you at the table & you even give the table number.
This manager working this morning called out my name. I told here she was to bring it to me, she complained that she was short on people & she brought it to me. This location & this particular manager tells you to use the kiosk and won't take your order at the counter. The service has not changed at all...I still give ZERO stars, but will leave it one.
BTW, My coffee cup had grounds in it. You are supposed to drink coffee, not eat it.
