We found Paletetia El Patzcuaro after hours searching for the elusive Mexican drink: champurrado. They had it: served in warm glazed mugs and steaming with rice-cinnamon goodness. Their food was also exceptional home style (casero) gorditas; we tried them in mole (our favorite!) as well as nopal con huevos and chicharrón verde (spicy, but good!). The staff were kind and attentive. Part of what we love so much about (the best of) ElPaso!

They finally noticed us after 5 minutes we sat down. They served somebody who came in after us before us. The seasoning of the food was pretty good. They had a $3 item under the $2 list and made no exceptions, charged us $3.
