Never had green with cheese tamales. What’s the point opening a store of tamales if you don’t have any tamales. If their father was alive he would be disappointed. They are over priced and female worker is very rude. Always has an attitude. No wonder their Westside location didn’t make it. You’re better off looking elsewhere.

I was so looking forward to the tamales. I bought pork and rajas and both were pretty dry. They were mainly maza, not too much filling, and the maza also needed a little salt. Sadly disappointed.
The owner was very friendly and polite. I went in to grab a dozen of tamales for work in the morning and they were fresh and hot. Very good flavors. Definitely my favorite place for tamales.

I used to enjoy the flavor and quality of Pepe’s Tamales two years ago, but my recent visit was a major disappointment. This past weekend, I purchased what I thought were fresh tamales. Upon unwrapping the husk, all I could smell was a strong vinegar scent. Taking one bite, I was shocked to find that the red pork tamales tasted like spoiled cheese. The green chicken tamales had the same rancid cheese flavor. Given the high price and the fact that this place only accepts cash, I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. I hope the management takes note and revises their product quality.
