Starting off with the tortilla— amazing. Warm, chewy in the best way. Filled generously with eggs, beans, and sausage and cheese in our case. The burritos are HUGE and we split a chico and were perfectly satisfied. We also got the melón agua fresca which paired perfectly.

We love Rafas. A classic local favorite. It almost burned down not too long ago we responded and put the fire out quickly and effectively, saved the building and restaurant. Ain't no way we gonna lose this gem.

This place is wonderful. Absolutely delicious and we got in JUST before a rush showed up. The cashier/server was bilingual (helpful for a novice Spanish speaker) and very helpful with menu choices. I got the verde burrito and we grabbed a carnitas plate with a couple of cokes. The whole thing was under $25. That's impossible and also amazing.
The grande burrito is gigantic. But will save well if you're into leftovers.
The chips and salsa were hotter than I expected, which was awesome.
This is clearly a well-loved spot.

I went visiting from California and it was closed because of some parading day switching so I was told, buy the chef and he gave me a lot of tortillas which where good, that's was very nice of him, still kinda disappointed that days like when tourists are traveling more restaurants have days change.

Good food
I like the prices of the food, the only thing is it can be very greasy and hot. If you like fire this is your place. The barbacoa is the greasiest. So grab a lot of napkins and a bib. But the rest of the food is pretty good. The burritos are good size for the price. People aren't bad. It's pretty clean as well. Bathrooms are decent. Parking can be tricky but there is a tall gentleman and a young one to help you navigate. They work on tips. Those two are pretty awesome.
