I used to go to Speedy’s on Zaragoza all the time, and it was genuinely great. Good pizza, good value, and consistent. Because of that, I had high hopes for the Eastlake location.
Those hopes were completely crushed.
This was not just “not as good.” This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had in my life. The pizza was absolutely horrible. My wife and I were so repulsed that we could not eat more than a slice. That is not exaggeration. We were genuinely offended by how bad it was.
The quality was shockingly low, yet the price was shockingly high. It was easily double what Speedy’s used to cost, and somehow tasted worse in every possible way. Paying that much for food this bad honestly felt like being scammed.
To make it worse, the cashiers were extremely rude. No friendliness, no professionalism, no effort at all. The entire experience made it feel like they simply did not care what they were serving or how customers were treated.
I am a very patient and understanding person. I do not leave reviews like this lightly. But this was so bad that it genuinely felt intentional, like they were trying to make the pizza disgusting. I cannot think of another way to describe it.
I left angry, disappointed, and feeling like I completely wasted my money. If you remember how good Speedy’s used to be, do not assume this location is the same. It is not even close.

Pizzas came out sloppy. You are better off opening the box before you leave and asking for a redo. Order two pizzas, even a specialty. Pizza toppings were dead center and not spread out, some slices were just of bread. Ask them to be redone or you will be disappointed when you get home, wishing you would have made them yourself.

Sorry, I just don't understand when you ask for wings 🪽 with BBQ. You get breaded wings🪽 (not boneless) with Ketchup as BBQ as spread as if they were hotdogs. Lazy, too, cook actual wings 🪽 What's worse, they know and yet they still do it. I won't be surprised if the place closes down. Pizza, don't get me started 😒.
