It does not reach the sushi standard. The rice had to be more fluffy, but it was pressed into one piece, and the rice was lumpy.

Surprised when I received our food and combo fried rice what's the differently and I really enjoyed the way they served it with the meats on top letting you decide how much rice you want with your protein

I had the spicy seafood udon and it was easily the best in El Paso. The broth was rich with real dashi and a spicy gochugaru kick. The Mexican Orgazim roll was fresh and full of flavor. The service was hands down the best I’ve experienced at any Sunny’s Sushi. Finished with deep fried ice cream twice.

This is a little different style Sushi with a Korean twist. Food was good, presented well, and came out quickly. Service was excellent, atmosphere is okay. The full size poster of the owner as you walk in is definitely different. We eat here a couple times a month as it is close by.

Was charged $30.11 for the eel rice bowl which was listed at around $28/29 on their menu. I will spend money on good food but the portion size was tiny, and the rice was not hot at all AND it took >30mins to come out. I was so annoyed I commented on the mistake of the bill but just ended up paying the $30 since I will never eat here again anyways. It felt like the absolute basics of running a buisness are lacking- from updating menus to making sure food that should be hot comes out hot.

Haven’t had Sunny’s in a while and I was craving it so I decided to treat myself. I regret getting it…Nothing was fresh and it didn’t taste the same as I remember. My Las Vegas roll already had eel sauce on it, almost looked reused from another plate? For the price I definitely didn’t get what I paid for. I’m disappointed. Going to have to look for a new sushi spot.

In the westside, this has been my go to place for sushi for the past 12 years. I feel they have the best tasting sushi, miso soup, and chicken teriyaki compared to other restaurants in the area. Atmosphere is friendly and cozy.
Only drawback is that you can't order directly from the restaurant for pickup without going through a 3rd party app. You are able to call in orders, but will need to pay over the phone before picking up.
