I’ve been coming here for over a decade. Today, I visited here with my family—2 adults, 2 kids, and a toddler (1yrs and half) —to celebrate my child’s birthday. The food is still great, and my kids loved it. However, I was surprised after when I asked for bill from the staff and I learn that that their policy recently changed just coupe days ago. and we were not informed ahead of time that an 18% gratuity would be automatically added for parties of 5 or more.
I asked the staff why this wasn’t mentioned before we placed our order. They were point on the menu with small print left on corner and they did apologized, which I appreciated. I just want to leave a comment for others: if you’re coming with 5 or more people—even if the fifth person is a toddler—be aware that an 18% gratuity will be added to your bill.
I still paid an additional tip on top of that.

Food is ok. Needs better taste or better chefs. Their customer service needs to step it up. Restrooms need to be more clean.

We’ve always enjoyed Sushi Garden, and I have great respect for the owner—she’s a truly lovely person. However, during a recent lunch visit, the service fell short of expectations.
There was only one server on duty (a man with glasses), and while I understand lunch can be a busy time, his demeanor was less than courteous. I ordered three lunch meals, two of which were for my children. When the food arrived, I noticed the chicken had sauce on top and mentioned that my kids likely wouldn’t eat it that way. I asked if it could be served without sauce, and instead of a helpful or understanding response, he gave me an attitude and a look that felt unnecessarily dismissive. He replied, “Usually the chicken comes with sauce on top,” which would have been helpful to know earlier, though I understand it was my oversight not to clarify when ordering.
Every restaurant serves katsu chicken differently, and I simply hoped for a bit more flexibility and professionalism. We still enjoy the food and atmosphere, but the service on this occasion was mediocre.

Went to have lunch with my mom; it was such a calm and beautiful restaurant. Will be going again hopefully soon.

The atmosphere here is nice, the food is not. Soft Shell Crab over-breaded and unnecessary sauced to a point where you can barely recognize the taste of crab. Tempura and Galbi were nearly warm upon serving.

Waste of time. They don’t give accurate information online or through the phone. I called in advance for an order and the lady that answered gave me all the answers opposite from when I come in. Ridiculous.

The tuna tastes weird. The miso soup tastes weird too. The shrimp is salty because it’s not seasoned well. The cheese in the roll is weird and spoiled so I took it out of the roll. The salmon is a little okay. Everything else is weird. The amount of sushi rice is too much and the quality is not good.

Located in a shopping center next to a Mexican restaurant. Quick seating and service. Quiet atmosphere. Soft instrumental music. Great for a date night and BYOB!

Small location but the food made up for any little things I can nit pick. We got a chicken teriyaki Bento box and a Teriyaki Salmon bento box. I am not a huge fan of teriyaki but the flavor was amazing.
Parking: The parking spots are not clearly marked.
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly location

Walk down Mesa Street just to find the place. It was not very busy. Mostly takeout orders. I just wish they had some hot sake.

Every time I have had the opportunity to go for lunch or dinner at this restaurant, small but cozy, the service from the waiters, especially Luis, is 10! I asked for the name of the cook from the times I have been to the restaurant and they told me his name is Daniel Rosales. I don't know because whenever he is the cook, the food is excellent to my palate. I will return again and again as long as Daniel is the cook and Luis is the star waiter. Thank you...
