So I went during the day for a quick drink and picked up some food to go. I was actually disappointed with the hot dog....and the bar didn't have all the ingredients for a Moscow mule. All in all I give it a 6 out of 10. The back patio is super kool....I'm sure it's a lot of fun at night... ?

The place LOOKS amazing, ambiance is great, menu looks great, huge selection of tequila. We did not try food so none of this is about the food
I also hate to give bad/mediocre reviews to local places, but this comes from a place where I want this place to succeed and I think this place could be great if staff is addressed.
Maybe it was a bad night or a new server. It was a slow Thursday night with only 3-4 tables of 2 or 3 people each throughout the place, yet we saw several people send their drinks back, so we ordered a gin and tonic since apparently this server couldn't make drinks, and even the gin and tonic was terrible. No lime, the ratio was very off and it wasn't even tonic water, it was club soda.
Our server seemed to know nothing about tequila other than you drink it and it gets you drunk, and was very uninformed about the flights they advertise you to ask about. Apparently they're not even really flights they just bring you shots and charge you individually based on the tequila you order.
The tequila list is alphabetical so there is no way to know which ones are being charged at a premium and she didn't know either so I ended up ordering a flight of top shelf tequilas unknowingly and she didn't know the prices even after I asked, so my friend paid 100 dollars for us to have 3 shots of tequila because of uninformed, unhelpful staff.
Please, this place could be so cool, but trained, informed, and helpful staff are needed.

It was pretty dead when I got there, but it was a cool spot. Live DJ, wirh a dance floor, it was superbly air-conditioned in the front part of the bar. The back was a little warmer. Understandable, however, as it's opened to the outside, where you can smoke. There were plenty of TVs, darts, and quickshot basketball in the back. I don't drink, but every time I went to refill my club soda and lime, it was quick. The space is pretty big. I'll definitely be going back.

"posting publicly"?what else is new? I ask. First impressions: good remodel, place looks great. Cant be too harsh on BT's cuz you know they learning but that lime I got with my tequila shot was so old it was mushy. Another EP bar where the staff acts like you're in their house and they have to put up with you. If only it was cheaper

This was my second time coming to Tequila Mockingbyrd with a girlfriend of mine. At arrival, we asked Damian about the specials and were told it was $3 bud lts and $4 white teas. We went with 2 white teas thinking they were drinks that turned out to be shots so we hadn’t ordered anything more. At checkout, we asked for 2 more and closed out. When I asked to close out, I was charged $26 for the 4 shots total, conveniently with no itemized receipt. Before signing my receipt I asked another bartender, Taylor, how much the white teas were to confirm and was told then they were $6, thinking this was an oversight, to eventually come home and see they were promoted for $4… so either the bartenders on staff can’t tell their a$$ from their elbows OR they’re deliberately overcharging patrons for drinks they never ordered. I hope the additional $5 I left was worth it because I will not be coming back but not without first leaving this review to warn others ?
