Stopped by on a Wednesday as they have a live jazz and had a great time. The charcuterie was delicious, drinks were on point, the staff was super attentive, and the live jazz made the whole vibe classy but still so fun.

Do not eat brunch at The Garrison. Worst brunch I have ever been to. It’s a filthy dirty bar with blaring loud music for brunch on a Saturday. Should have walked out.

🎺🎶 Come for the live jazz (every Wed with drink specials!), stay for the sultry lighting and comfy seats.🍹Must Order: Over the Arroyo ($13) superb and well balanced mezcal + smoked rosemary. Everything else is too sweet for my taste (esp the espresso martini). 🍷Wine selection is very limited (they really need more dry & sparkling options). 🥃 Nice whiskey collection but prices unclear.

🎹 Jazz jam sesh every Wednesday night 8:30-10 (sometimes earlier— 🕐 check Jazz Exchange Instagram or website for schedule & reserve your table with The Jazz Exchange — they’ll hold the table for 25 min & it gets crowded).

DRINKS: ☕️Espresso Martini ($13) is too sweet. And house special “The Garrison” ($28) is unique & Instagram ready (legit comes in a smoking treasure chest), but not worth the price tag.

♿️ ✅ wheelchair accesible entrance and single stall bathrooms. Tables are high top, high bar, couches (very spaciously arranged for groups of 4-10) — on live music nights, make a reservation! Plenty of parking nearby.

Shout out to bartender Michael, who provides great, fast service with attention to detail. Thanks Michael 👏🏽

They didn’t have most of what was on the menu food wise. Stay away from the calamari, I don’t know what that was. The atmosphere was okay, they had jazz night. Ambiance was great and seating was comfortable. I honestly wouldn’t recommend any of the food, well at least what I tried, the calamari and shrimp taco. Stay away from those.

The location is very nice. You have a 270 degree view of the street from inside. The decor inside the bar is great as well. I went during jazz night and the music was wonderful. The only issue I had was with the bar-backs. I had to go up to bar to order two beers. The guy expected a tip right away, although I planned on ordering more. I payed 12 dollars cash. I ordered two more beers of the same kind as the first. My payment was with a credit card the second time. My total was 21 dollars for the same thing. I asked for an itemized bill and the guy refused. Watch out with what they are charging you. They expect top tips for poor service. Not to mention their pompous attitude.

My wife and I enjoyed a night at this gem of a bar. The drinks and customer service were on point. Very professional and the decor we loved a lot.

The food unfortunately was war below expectations. Small portions (especially the steak for this price), overcooked, lame seasoning and dry - just not good at all. Drinks and atmosphere are really nice tho. All in all too expensive.

I recently visited The Garrison and, unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. The calamari was overcooked, making it chewy and difficult to enjoy. The Old Fashioned I ordered lacked simple syrup, leaving it unbalanced and not up to standard.

What added to the disappointment was the service. After waiting 10 minutes, the server returned to inform us that several menu items were unavailable. It would have been far more appropriate and considerate for the server to inform us of these limitations when we were first seated or before we ordered.

While the atmosphere was pleasant, the overall experience left much to be desired. I hope they address these issues to provide a better experience for future guests.

Great cocktail bar with some good food. Highlights are the evenings with the Jazz Exchange. Absolute must-go.
If they would not turn the airco up so much, it would be perfect.

Loved the decor and the ambiance. This really is a gem in El Paso. Hardly anyone was there on a Friday night.

I came for the drinks and the food. The service was great! Sadly, the food was not good.

The rosemary truffle fries were blocks of potatoes, poorly seasoned. It'd be better if they were actual smaller fries with more flavor.

The grilled shrimp roll was not we expected. It was in the form of a Vietnamese spring roll, but the flavors were all off. We took it apart and just ate the shrimp. It was not good. At all.

10/10 do not recommend the food here, and it took awhile for it to come out.
