Very slow service. Waited in drive through for 15 minutes and not one car moved. Really? How long does it take to make a burger
The cashier was very respectful and upbeat. The blizzards and ice cream were tasty as well as the chicken strips and bread. The fries were a salt bomb. Not all the tables were cleaned
This place is a madhouse. Very unorganized. Ordered 2 treats, waited forever got the wrong items then told out of ice cream. Asked for refund and left.

LONGEST WAIT TIME EVER!!! Do not go through the drive through unless you have at minimum an hour extra of time to waste. I ordered 2 things and waited an hour in the drive through.
Going through the drive through is a night mare if you have an extra hour of time. 3 cars in line I decided to come in to see if it was faster. Seen 2 people on break and another about to go on break. But guess what, they forgot about my order I only ordered a snickers blizzard. This Diary Queen sucks!!! ZERO STARS if I could!!!

Came through the drive through around 9pm and had the worst service ever!! I would rather drive to Austin and get my food from an hour away! The lady in the drive through seems to really hate her job. We waited almost 30 minutes and she was extremely rude. Her attitude alone would make me not want to ever come back here! Super disappointed in the staff. Highly recommend avoiding this location!!
Went by here on Friday night. The drive thru gentleman was very polite and I actually thought to myself, āthis guy is way too nice to be working in fast food. He deserves a raiseā.. Service was good and food was good too. The wait wasnāt too bad either. We were in and out. Weāll stop by again next time on our way to the coast.
Making a long story of mistakes short. Went into the restaurant and placed my order to go. Long wait and they gave me another person's order, luckily I caught it. They restarted my order and called my number. I checked the ticket and it was my order. Got home and part of the order was not in the bag. Don't go on Sunday evenings, the wait is very long and the staff is completely overwhelmed.

Very slow service. Staff unaware of their menu. Said they were out of some items but seems they didnāt know what they have. Staff not using gloves to handle food. One member of my party didnāt get the only thing she ordered- a mini blizzard. Wasnāt worth trying to get a refund since we have no confidence they would know how to do that.
Expensive. Slow to answer drive thru.
The cashier was friendly and tried her best to be helpful as the placewas packed inside and drive thru. I wish i knew her name but no one was wearing name tags.
There was one particular young lady that did not stop using swear words. She was also very rude to the cashier. Swearing at her and about her. Her behavior was very off putting. The cashier was cleaning tables and gathering trash, and the young lady that was swearing became angry at her for not preparing a blizzard! NONE of the other employees intervened and one was also in the back using profanity. All of the employees seemed very young and several immature. Aside from the cashier the service was below standard. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine. The floor by the drink station was slippery and dirty. Several orders had a long wait time and the again the young lady swearing had her working the cash register and taking out food as the loooong line waited. Ordered combos with large fries, paid for large fries recieved kid meal portions. This shift was horrible and lack appropriate etiquette! whomever owns this franchise DQ needs to spend time with this shift crew and make some changes!
Went today to pick up lunch for me and my wife just wanted to say thanks for the new management this place has really shaped up place was very clean and the staff super friendly and professional and polite. The young man I forgot his name but I believe it was Nate or Nathan either way thanks . Most places in Elgin are not very pleasant to eat at and for year me and my family would drive to Hutto are bastrop even to Austin just to eat but we will be back to DQ in Elgin now . Please keep up the good work . I know itās hard to do in todays time so many young people donāt have the same up bringing as us older peeps did but with good management skills we can teach the young ones even if their own parents didnāt Iām a manager and do firmly believe that. Well enough for now but keep up the great work work thank you.. Cliff Battles
FLORA THE MANAGER IN CHARGE ON 2/8/2025 TODAY, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WILL NO LONGER BE ALLOWED TO GIVE A VETERAN DISCOUNT ON ALL THE MEALS OR ICE SCREAM , BUT ONLY FOR 1 DRINK OR 1 MEAL AND NO LONGER A WHOLE FAMILY MEAL.I CANT WAIT TO MY VFW BUDDIES THAT IF ONE VETERANS TREAT FOR LINCH TAT ONLY HIS MEAL WILL BE DISCOUNTED AND THE REST WILL BE FULL PRICE. THANKS, DAIRY QUEEN FOR THAT, JUST LIKE SOUTHSIDE ONLY A FREE COKE FOR VETERANS OR MILITARY, SHE SAID SHE WAS TOLD BY COPORATE TO DO THAT TO VETERANS AND MILITARY.
