Excellent burgers! Wrap was good too. Got some prune kolaches for my elderly mom. She said they took her back to the first kolaches she ever had!

We always stop here for the kolaches and mini pecan pies—they’re the best! The bathrooms are also very clean and well maintained. A great place to stop while traveling through Texas—perfect for a quick bite or a bathroom break!

Kolache's were ok. Considering how busy they were on a Sat afternoon, I was surprised they didn't taste super fresh. Dough was kind of dense and the fillings were fairly meager. Pales in comparison to Czech stop and the other places of 35 in the town of West, TX

What an absolute gem of a stop! I wasn’t expecting much from a store next to a gas station, but this place completely surprised me. The shop itself is spotless, bright, and welcoming, with tables where you can sit and actually enjoy your food instead of rushing back to the car. The coffee selection is huge, with plenty of drinks on tap, and the shelves are stocked with all kinds of snacks and groceries.

But what really makes this place stand out is the bakery, every pastry looks like a piece of art, and they taste even better. I tried the sausage and sauerkraut pastry and it was incredible, truly something special you won’t find anywhere else. The bread is also fresh and delicious, the kind you want to take home and keep for later.

On top of all that, the staff is so warm and welcoming, they’re happy to explain the options and even recommend their favorites, which made the experience feel really personal.
This is hands down the best store by a gas station I’ve ever seen, and honestly, I’d go out of my way to stop here again. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and try their baked goods, you won’t regret it

All their food is really good. I love walking to the register there is a variety of items to purchase for yourself and loved ones. Come in and look around. I like going in and looking for a gift for a friend.

We frequently meet at Hruska's which is approximately halfway for us and the grandkids. Great place, great food and as Texas as it gets.
We love the cookies, hamburgers, grilled cheese and surprisingly their chicken salad is great. We buy a big cup of chicken salad to take home for the week.
But the #1 best all time thing at Hruska's is the small pecan pies. I buy 6 every time Im there. Once they were out! It was awful. Don't try them unless you can afford to be addicted.

Kolaches taste good but was disappointing that they tasted like they just came out of the fridge. It was our first time here.

Best burgers on highway 71! I also love their ham and cheese klobasniks. I love that they call it klobasnik instead of just calling everything a kolache, because there IS a difference LOL. I wish I had ordered the spinach, feta, and tomato but I didn't. Looks like I have an excuse to stop again on my next road trip.

This place has the most delicious cheeseburger 🍔 ever. Here is my favorite place to stop on my way between Austin and Houston to use its restroom and have lunch (which is all the time cheeseburger).

Delish! Lots of great options and great flavors.

Very disappointing to have advertised that you close at 9pm yet you turn off your grill at 8. Closing at 9 means if a customer comes in at 855 they should receive the same service as a customer that comes in 5 minutes after opening. Btw I came at 809. Sad what customer service has come to these days.
