Atmosphere wad nice. Service was good but slow. There were only 2 tables occupied and we were one and it took 40 minutes to get our food of which mine was not even remotely warm. Couldn't eat it. Husband’s was also cold except for the chicken patty part of his chicken fried steak. This was our first visit. Might give it another try for lunch but breakfast @10:15am was very disappointing.

We went there tonight for our anniversary and we ordered the meatloaf special and steak meal we ordered fried mushrooms when the appetizer came they set it down and left no plates to set the hot food on no utensils my husband had to go get some from the stand where they were kept we waited forever for our food when it finally got there the steak was over cooked all the food was barely warm like it had been sitting for awhile there was no flavor on anything the staff almost non-existent this was our first time there and our last time we wasted the druve from sulphur springs to get that kind of food abd service we do not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you have no taste buds and dont mind hardly warm food

Eggs were scorched my husband's eggs were. Not over medium food was not freshly cooked was not impressed at all as much as it cost should have atheist had hot fresh food

We ate at Don's restaurant for the very first time this evening and I'm not trying to be mean but our food was really burnt by the time we got it it was chicken fried steaks and they were totally they did have good customer service and they treated us fairly so but as far as everything else was good the food was not I'm sorry to say,thank you ?

Stopped in today on our way traveling from Conroe. Food was excellent! Great mushroom burger and fries and onion rings were great. The owner stopped by and chatted with us. Great stop!

We stopped here for supper after getting a load of hay, and were not disappointed. The food was delicious, my husband said thst the corned beef in his rueben sandwich was some of the tenderness and juiciest he had ever had. My burger was huge and tasty and the onion rings, oh my, home made and huge. We also got the fried pickles and chips and queso, fresh made chips and fried pickles and homemade queso and ranch. Just a tip, dip the onion rings into the ranch, soooo good. Top it off with a bell jar full of your favorite drink and it's a great meal. Only downside was we were too full to try the fried cheesecake bites!

So, I’m not a Karen. I’m a server at another restaurant here in Emory and I understand being busy but I have never had such a horrible experience. First we get there, waited 10 minutes to be seen, then we only had one round of drinks for the next HOUR and not once did our server check on us. We did have to move tables because it got crowded behind us but apparently they “thought we left”. Had our server been making her rounds every 10 min like she should have she would have known we were still there so they made our food and didn’t even get our order right. So they had to do something else, but then we still never saw our server again after that. There were 2 other women running circles around our waitress. I’m not a mean person but kindly speaking, some people just aren’t meant to be servers.
This was our first time to eat here. We had a great meal and the waitress was outstanding! We will definitely be back!

Food was not good. How hard is it to make french fries, they are so easy. Here is my secret recipe. Cut a potato up and cook it in oil until crispy.Also make sure and drain the lettuce on the salad bar. Make sure the salad dressing is not warm. check to see if the tea is soured. It seems like this place has given up. Don't waste your money. Don't eat here.

Took 30 min to get 2 Salads, 1 sandwich and 2 1 salad. 2nd salad came 10 min after everyone else got their meal. One salad had tons is cranberries but no pecans. 2nd salad had wilted lettuce with chicken n cheese with no cranberries or pecans. Will not be returning.
