Well, this Mom and Pop restaurant has since burned down, and appears to be permanently closed. Yes, it had great prices, good home cooking and quality service. Any time I traveled through Emory, TX, I made sure to stop in for some good eating.
This place came highly recommended and did not fail! Food was hot and fresh and service was friendly and timely. Hamburger meat is ground fresh daily and it shows. The burger with chili, cheese and onions was great. Baked potato came with all the fixings, and the salad was fresh and had a good variety of veggies. There was a fish special as well that I will try next time, looked really good. AND, the guy next to me was cutting his chicken fried steak with a fork, what does that tell you???Cannot wait to go back.

All the girls are wonderful. Shannon is great and I love her silly personality. Danielle is great and makes my daily visits enjoyable. You know this place is awesome when you have family members driving seven hours to come have breakfast.
We were very disappointed in our lunch. Fried catfish was mushy, the fries were so bad that neither one of us ate them. The coleslaw was too sweet, the beans were bland and the hush puppies were just as bad. The quality has declined drastically since we ate here 2 years ago. Our waitress was very nice and she was a good server.
My husband and I had a wonderful meal, he had steak and I had salmon, both delicious. Our server, Rose, was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding menu items and the service was excellent. We'll be back.
Chic fried steak breakfast was very tasty and BIG! The whole ham breakfast...again huge, buy one of these and you can serve everyone come Christmas time. We'll be back. 4.5⭐
First time at Sidekicks. The staff was very courteous and the food was great. My omelette had tons of bacon in it, so if you love bacon, you wouldn't be disappointed.
The man cook came outside and was smoking weed in his car and asked me if I wanted to smoke with him and wanted to take a "bump". Will never come back! I don't want to come back to an unsafe environment to have my food cooked and definitely don't want my children around him!
If you want LARGE portions you should eat here. The chicken strips my daughter ordered were closer to breast size, my chicken fried chicken was two huge pieces of chicken. Our family was split. My daughter and me didn't care for it. My husband and son said they would eat here again. Staff was friendly and you shouldn't leave hungry.

I am new to the area and have been here twice so far. I will be back. Service is top notch. Breakfast was filling and good (omelette). The next time, I went for lunch and had Chicken Fingers. I had leftovers for 3 meals!! Great food at a great price
This WAS my favorite place to eat. The last order, we were told to be there in 15-20 mins. We arrived like 15 minutes later, and we waited for our food almost an hour!! There were people at a table inside, and some of them got their plates and ate but some hadn't gotten their plates yet. The 2 cooks arguing. The MANAGER was moving her car in the parking lot and not helping at all. It was total chaos. The food quality was way down. Normally, they have the best onion rings and chicken fried chicken in town. My mom told me the past few times they ate there the onion rings were terrible. I hope it gets back to normal soon.
The best chicken fried steak around! And the BLT club will take care of even the HANGRRRY-est
Good food and friendly service. Prices are not bad either.
The atmosphere and decor was nice, service was great. The chicken fried steak was gigantic, with a big mound of fries. Nice place to eat. HOWEVER, you guys need some reflectors on your drive ways. I had never been there and it was a dark night. When my GPS said I had arrived, I turned into the parking lot, but went through the ditch instead, knocking off the lower valance on my truck. I literally could not see the ditch or the driveway. My fault, but you can't see anything out there at night.
