I was disappointed. Catfish was cooked dry and not seasoned. Too much batter. Greens were ok. Yams were ok. The man working was very nice.
At those prices they need to either improve or lower the price.

I got catfish, mac n cheese, and candied yams. Food was ok, I would've liked a bit more seasoning on the catfish. I'd go again for a quick bite.

Decided to try Ms Lindas HEB location. Ordered the catfish platter with cabbage, yams, and mac and cheese. Catfish completely unseasoned, mac snd cheese was plain and unseasoned, yams and cabbage was good, they can get 2 stars review. Spending almost $ 30 just for a good cabbage and sweet potatoes, I can make a better catfish at the house.

First time visiting this restaurant with my cousin and his girlfriend. The food was AMAZING…It really hit the spot! 😋
Everything tasted homemade and indeed soulful. I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, greens, macaroni and cheese and cornbread. My cousin had the chopped steak with macaroni and cheese and greens and his gf had the fried catfish with macaroni cheese and greens and we ALL ENJOYED EVERYTHING(and I don’t even eat meatloaf like that but that meatloaf, right there was fkng awesome)! Oh and her famous punch too…YUM!!
We were the first customers there for the day so when we arrived, we placed our order and it took about 20 minutes to come out which I had no problem with because I prefer my food to be freshly made! It was seasoned to perfection(Didn’t have to add salt or pepper) and the portions were also great!
Mrs. Linda is an absolute DOLL!! Loooove her kindness, politeness, and hospitality! SUCH a beautiful soul inside and out🙂 She made us feel very welcomed The entire time…her and her hubby(I think he was her hubby🤔)

We DEFINITELY will be returning💁🏽‍♀️

Dry and not enough flavor.
The corn bread was the worst of ever had in my life.
Dry and flavorless.
The fried pork chops tasted dirty and bad.
Mac and cheese was average at best.
Sweet potatoes where ok but they needed about 3 times the seasoning.
My friend that was with me had the catfish and greens.
He said that those were good but the mashed potatoes were not.
The cool aid was some of the best I've ever had.
The food was a bit pricey and it took 40 minutes for 2 plates of food.

Craving fried chicken and decided to head to Juicys Soul Food and learned they had closed….uggggh.

Not to be deterred discovers Linda’s Soul Food to go and called to inquire if they had fried chicken. They did. Yahoooo. Off we went.

Upon arrival and as we entered this little gem I just admit I was worried. It was dead and appeared only one person was working. We learned they only had 4 meat offerings, fried chicken, fried pork chops, meatloaf and fried catfish.

We were a bit disappointed when we learned they only had wings and legs for the fried chicken but moved on and placed an order.

I had the fried chicken legs, collard greens, fried cabbage and Mac n cheese. She opted for the fried pork chops and Mac n cheese.

The serving size are huge. 3 legs, 3 pork chops. Sides are plentiful.

Are you ready? Absolutely delicious. The fried pork chops were the best we have ever had out. The Fried chicken was equally as good. HOT. JUICY. Soooo good.

The Mac n cheese was better than Juicys. Cheesy and gooey goodness. I loved it. The collards were also better than Juicys….id argued one of the best I’ve ever had out. My mom would have been in heaven. Speaking of heaven…the Fried Cabbage is to die for…

I googled the nearest Soul Food near me since I was out running errands and Mrs. Linda Soul Food was the first place that popped up. I called ahead to place an order and when I arrived my order was hot & ready. Service was awesome!! I couldn't wait to get home to see if the food was worth a return...........let me say....Mrs. Linda Mrs. Linda MRS. LINDA WILL see me again. I ordered catfish, yams and greens..everything was seasoned welllll. I'm not Keith Lee but I do give an overall rate 8.75

Cozy spot, not much seating but the food was ready within 20 minutes. The food is so delicious! Nothing was over seasoned and our food was piping hot!
