Ww were told this is a nice little place, so we thought we would try it. The employees are very friendly. They greet you as you walk in. Their breakfast was good. Crisp bacon, crisp hashbrowns, over medium eggs (they were actually over mediim). The biscuits and gravy was great that they put the sausage ground up in the gravy (not huge chunks of patties cut up). The gravy itself had a sweet taste to it. That was not to my liking. To each their own though. I am more of a cream and black pepper type myself. The pricing is a little on the high side, but this is the norm just about everywhere. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We will come back.UPDATE:We thought we would stop in for some lunch (late 1:30). We seated ourselves, and a young gentleman took our beverage order. We sat there and were passed by several waitresses many times. One kept stepping out of the kitchen area several times and looking at us. After setting there for over 10 minutes, we got up to leave. As we were walking out we heard one of them say "have a nice day". We will never go back. If this is how they treat patrons, their future does not look good.

This place is a hidden gem with a great following. Great fresh food! The chicken fried steak is great with lots of side choices. Count on me to be a regular customer from this point forward.

This place is always busy at lunch and you may have a bit of a wait for your initial service when you sit. But the ladies really work hard and will almost always greet you and let you know they will be with you soon. Food always comes out fast. Food is good, homemade, even hand cut fries, and I absolutely love the fried catfish. The hushpuppies are a good size and not overcooked little tiny balls like some restaurants give you. Highly recommend.

Had too try the lunch here cause the breakfast was so good. The service was great and very respectful. Still loving the small town feel here in will be back for the breakfast for sure but very disappointed in the lunch the chick n fried steak is big but it was very tough and not enough gravy come on folks we love our gravy on our chicken fried steaks also the fries just did not have that good crisp I love fresh taters but they need to be a bit crispier. My son loved the chicken sandwich, my wife said the hamburger steak was a bit dry, I had to try it and it was. So my assessment is breakfast is on point and I'm not a fan of the lunch side. So for breakfast is a 4 star review and lunch I give it 3.

Too crowded. Catfish dinner was 3 finger- size fiilets, below standard size. Not even kids plate size. Staff friendly doing best they could. 2 burgers and breakfast entries were delicious. Will not be back.Wheelchair accessibility: Unable to manuever to bathroom. Disabled

We love our Roost! Great place to meet up for breakfast with your friends or by yourself. Plenty of locals to chat with. The servers are the best around. Lunch/dinner are also good. Try the homemade pies! And ask Ashley what’s in the sawdust pie.

Great little place, worth looking for! Biscuits were obviously homemade, hot, light and delicious. Huge pancakes made just right. I had an omelet that was chock full of meat. The husband had eggs and ham. All cooked exactly as they should. Our service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend them for breakfast.
