My grandmother passed away a few years ago. Her gumbo was “the family recipe” and it was delicious. I sit with my grandmother when I eat here. The food includes some inventive and scrumptious takes on old favorites. Try the shrimp and grits. I’ll be making my way through the menu. To say the food was phenomenal is an understatement. The restaurant has some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. And don’t get me started on the cornbread. During, my visit I sat at the bar and the drinks were top notch as well. I don’t live in the Dallas area but when I visit this will be one of my go to spots.
