My friend and I met in Flatonia for lunch at Edna’s Kitchenette, which was delightful. Afterwards, we were walking around town and asked a lady a question. We ended up having a great conversation as well as some samples of jalapeño pimiento cheese (had a bite to it, but just right!), some queso and chips and a snickerdoodle and a chocolate chip s’more cookie I can attest that they were all wonderful!
It was a wonderful little town off I-10 between San Antonio and Houston,...
We were Annie’s first private dinner in Flatonia. She made an Anniversary dinner for our kids and my husband and I. She took care of all the arrangements. Things I would not have thought about - flowers and baby sitters. We had 5 courses and appetizer. It was delicious. She will make whatever you want. The service was great. Courses were timely. It was very relaxing. We could visit with our family without the noise and distractions of a restaurant. It was fun and special.
We stopped in Flatonia as we waited for our solo Texas Independence Relay runner. The owner came out and greeted us with samples of southwest pimento cheese, chicken salad, and a gourmet cheese box. We almost told our runner go on without because we were going to stay here and EAT!! Thank you for hospitality. The relay runners tomorrow are in for a nice surprise...she had yummy treats for you, too!!
