Wow...what a wonderful surprise on a Sunday afternoon. My son and I were in Floresville on our motorcycles and looking for a place for lunch. We found Mata's, which was close by to the square. We were welcomed in and sat where we could watch the bikes. The friendly staff took our orders and brought homemade chips and salsa. The chips were straight out of the fryer... excellent! I love Mata's Cafe. It is a smaller, simple and quiet cafe. Always clean. Always good service. I've eaten here dozens of times and never been disappointed. They stay open late and I love that fact. Closing time during the week is 8:30 pm.
