I’ve lived nearby and having been going to Mavericks for years, but the past couple of times I’ve been disappointed with their to go food. Today, I ordered for pick up a 6oz sirloin steak, cooked MEDIUM. I got a well done steak. Still gonna eat it, but not happy about it. I’ve always had a good experience dining in, but picking up orders and not only been hit or miss, it’s just been miss. Wouldn’t recommended ordering to go here. Rating is just for their to go service.
It's a great place to take the family. There were 5 people in our group and not a single item was disappointing. The giant chicken fried steak was amazing as well as the 2 huge sides that it came with. My wife had the club sandwich and was only able to eat half because it was huge. My only disappointment was that I was so full that I couldn't order dessert. There were so many delicious sounding entrees and sides that I'm going to have to force myself to go...
Food was ok and only ok. Potato skins were a bit overly crunchy and awkward. Mac and cheese was bland and so was the corn. I forget what its called but we got the hamburger steak with the jalapeños and cheese, asked for mid rare and got extra well done. Cool place and cool environment but the food is eh
