A few times, the frosting was not very much and it was apparent someone had rushed inserting the frosting in the middle of the cake as it was a small dab.
The frosting is buttercream and delicious. If they sold additional frosting on the side, that would be exceptional. However, they do not and don't plan to.
I've purchased these cakes both through Door Dash and in their store. It's a nice change that the price is the same; uncommon for DD since they typically markup products.

I ordered mine from DoorDash.This is my first time eating from this place, because my job had them from an event that I didn’t get to attend so I ordered it for myself to try.I ordered the Texas pecan, the birthday bash and the Oreo. Let me start by saying they all taste like cheap box cakes you would get from Walmart. They were super dense, dry and lacked quality flavor. I thought these would taste homemade and would have quality ingredients for the price. And the icing tasted like cheap easy bake oven icing. Just pure sugar, no dimensions to the flavoring at all. The only thing that was almost decently tasty was the Oreo, once I took the icing off. I would not Reccomend this place, I'll just go to nothing but bunts cakes from now. This company needs to work on their recipe.

Cakes here are really good - we’ve tried the Texas Pecan, Lemon, and birthday - all great. They’re basically a small cupcake-sized cake served in a nice glass jar. The shop itself is bright & well-maintained, and, although they’re closed Mondays, they’re open until 10PM even on Sundays. In a town where most things close early, this is a great option for a later-in-the-evening snack.Definite recommend

We recently moved to the area, and have walked past this place several times, and finally went in to see what it was about. The guy at the counter was very friendly, and gave us the run down of the cake in the jars and how you could customize the lids. Really cool concept. I ordered a lemon flavor and a cookies and cream flavor. They were $8 a piece for rather small servings, and they both tasted pretty awful. The cookies and cream tasted overly processed, and the lemon tasted like straight up chemicals. We threw them in the garbage. I wanted to leave one star, but added another because the guy was a pleasure to talk to. Great concept but terrible execution with the product.
People really need to walk into this shop and try it out. The cake was really yummy and quite convenient since it's in a jar - I ate half and then was able to put the rest in my fridge for later. I've walked by this shop several times without going in - I won't make that mistake again. I'm glad I tried it out! I also like that they can brand the cake jars for a party, etc. That seemed like a very cool idea.

Delicious cake and Amy’s ice cream. Ordered the Texas Pecan and Amy’s Mexican Vanilla. Was prefect crumb and not over sweet. Made with quality ingredients. Cutest jars that will be recycled and used many more times in the galley.

We called last minute for a big order for a surprise birthday party and they did not disappoint! Kelly and Zach were so helpful and helped us personalize the jars as well. We had tons of people asking where we got them and are definitely going to consider this again in the future. Oh, and the cake was delicious! I love that you can keep them in the fridge for up to a week as well. Wish I got a better picture!
