Food & customer service was great!

My girlfriend and I recently visited Dix Cafe, and unfortunately, the experience was one of the worst we’ve had at any restaurant.

To start, the service was shockingly poor. Our server never once checked on us during our entire meal—no refills, no “how’s everything,” not even a basic acknowledgment. Meanwhile, tables around us were given regular attention, making us feel ignored and, honestly, like we didn’t belong. The noticeable difference in treatment raised the uncomfortable possibility that it may have been racially motivated, which only added to our discomfort.

The food didn’t redeem the visit either. It was bland, served lukewarm, and seriously under-seasoned. We were especially disappointed by the coffee—it was weak, watered down, and barely resembled coffee at all. To make matters worse, the table was poorly stocked, with barely any sugar packets to try and salvage it.

To top it off, our server didn’t even bother to bring us the check. After waiting a while, I had to get up and go to the counter to ask someone to bring it. When she finally did, she dropped it on the table without a word and walked away as if we were inconveniencing her.

Overall, Dix Cafe was a letdown from start to finish. Poor service, forgettable food, and a sense of being unwelcome made for a deeply unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The place is so noisy you can’t have a conversation, I was served a terrible avocado toast entree. There were four butts of the tomato on the so called sandwich was awful, the lettuce was missing, the eggs were so fried and the toast was so hard you couldn’t cut it. Had to ask for napkins, coffee, silverware and to clear the table.

Great place for brunch, not as crowded as other restaurants serving the same menu but great tasting food

We LOVE Dix Cafe and is our favorite in the metroplex. We've gone to many brunch spots but the flavors here are amazing and the decor is lovely. The Greek Omellete is our favorite and I am not even an omellete person! The blueberry pancakes have the perfect outer crispness while being soft and fluffy inside. The waffles are also excellent. I've had the eggs benedict and it is also great. The maple butter syrup is to die for! You truly can't go wrong with any of the food here. My only wish is that they had healthier ketchup that doesn't contain high fructose corn syrup but that's what most places have. Go here, you won't regret it!

It was too bad I went there with my friends the person who was serving she gave us a copy of menu not the actual one she didn't serve water even she didn't greet us. We saw there was another customer came she gave them proper menu serve then water and talking with them nicely. We feel Soo bad when she did that.

Good place for breakfast or brunch. Be sure to ask for Haley as your waitress. She’s really good & provides above standard professional service.

I visited this establishment for the third time. The service was quite exceptional. Medina was both courteous and polite. The food was excellent. I had the greek omelette. The coffee was well balanced. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The best brunch spot in all of DFW! I really recommend this place to everybody who's looking for fresh&delicious food.

The food and service were great but the fitness center next door had heavy bass and music thumping which made for an awkward breakfast experience. We were there around 830am on a Saturday. We'll probably avoid going back because of the walls thumping.

Definitely a repeat dining place here. Great family place, good food and nice selection on the menu. Cooked as ordered, all requests and accommodations granted! Friendly staff. If you go on Sunday I recommend a reservation.

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was good and the decor was nice. Not serving pork is awesome especially for breakfast!

Really nice/cute breakfast place. My French toast and syrup was amazing. I asked for crispy bacon and they delivered. Will be back. Also, great ambiance. Love how every TV has on something for everyone. And the calm music is wonderful.
