The tacos with asada were very good, and the service was fast. The refried beans were amazing and the rice was pretty average. I personally did not like how they had lettuce with the cilantros and onions but that's just a not how I like my tacos. I would rate the tacos a 7/10 and the taco plate as a whole also a 7/10.
I visited LA Mejor as part of my taste test of various breakfast taco joints. This a small corner grill in the back corner of a gas station /convenience store. No frills, nothing fancy. I had the break taco with bacon x 2 and o.e with sausage. They were larger than what I've seen at other places, but only slightly more expensive than similar reatauramts...save the once that try to fancy. So delicious; we stop here multiple times whenever we’re in the area. Love the carnitas and the chiccaron tacos. Fabulous green sauce. Clean and comfortable spot in back of gas station.
