I called to place a to-go order of two entrees. They refused the order and said they wouldn't be taking to-go orders until 8:30 because the kitchen is behind. I've never heard of such nonsense.

Stay away ! … just finished dinner today ! The server was a big fat guy who gives you the judgementmental and a ‘oh so you can afford this food’ look who has seen so many customers that he is sick and tired of them … he is not a good fit to be a server ! Had to go to a near by restaurant to finish my dinner . Main Entree had a portion of an appetizer. Overall experience was poor !

Great spot for date night :) The calamari, lobster ravioli, and blackened shrimp rissotto did not disappoint!

The food and service were good. We were on the patio and it was cold and windy. One of the large panels was missing so there was a 12x10 space approximately where cold and wind came in. We asked the waiter why it was rolled up and he didn't know but a manager soon came to talk to us. She was kind and said it was broken, offered to move us inside so that was good; but we had already been out there for 30 minutes so we stayed. They did gave space heaters on so that was good. They have stopped serving bread and ail beforehand which was very disappointing. It always feels disappointing when something has been taken away. Kids at a near table were older yet screaming part of the time. It was a disappointing meal and won't be back for a while.

We have eaten at Mio Nonnos many times but the last two times we have been disappointed. We had caprese salad and the cheese was runny and in a stack of tomatoes not individual on the tomato's. They have switched to a flatbread which they charge $7 for now. We had the 100 layer lasagna and the taste was very good but it was the least layers of lasagna I have ever seen. I am not sure why it has changed but we have recommended it in the past as excellent and now rate it as average.

I had the MELANZANE PARMIGIANA, it's my new favorite dish. Loved the food and the friendly atmosphere. The manager was very professional and hospitable. I will definitely be back for the CANNOLIS.Cheers!

New Lasagna tasted great with big portion, it was cool however, not hot at all witch is odd for this dish. Also got the dish that replaced the Russia sauce/past dish. Wife and I actually like the old Russia dish better. Both are good however the new dish pasta is very heavy and thick. Sauce is excellent on both the old and new dish. Prices have increased 30% with no free bread anymore. If you want to pull in the same crowds you need to step up another level. Add back in some of the old favorites.

Used to love this place. Was our “go to”for date night. Complete menu was overhauled and not for the better. Chef's option veal parm (which was the best!) now gone. Complementary bread service now gone and replaced with a $7 flat bread appetizer. Prices went up and quality went down. Did have a great server!

We have been going to Mio Nonno (Flower Mound) for 3+ years because the food was amazing (along with the concerts on the green in the summer). We have told MANY people about this restaurant and taken out-of-town guests there too. They completely changed the menu and no longer have ANY of the items that kept bringing us back - appetizers (i.e. beef carpaccio), entrees (i.e.. Mario, Linguine alle Vongole, etc..), special (i.e. the Chilean sea bass), and desserts (i.e. white cake). The food we ended up ordering was sub-par for what we expected, the duck confit had rubbery skin, the cannoli's were not the same as before - they tasted like they were "fresh" from Costco's freezer, and the tiramisu was also not the same, it was 90% whipped cream in an individual ramekin with barely any (flavorless) lady fingers (bring back the "sheet cake version"!). In conclusion - this change to the menu has resulted in losing us as customers and we can no longer recommend Mio Nonno (Flower Mound) to friends/family.

They completely changed the menu and it is more expensive, more eclectic, with much smaller portions, and the quality is so-so. With their open kitchen I saw the cooking staff open up a few boxes of boxed Barila pasta... A bit frustrating when I was charged 24.00 for a pasta dish.

It was a quiet & rainy Sunday afternoon, my Mother was moving out of town and we were given such a nice memory with Nacho.. he really went above and beyond to pick up our spirits. He went the extra mile to make us smile and made sure we were comfortably enjoying everything - from good conversations to menu suggestions. We had a crisp-crusted pizza and smooth tasting tiramisu that was presented beautifully. Also the jazzy dim-lit ambience was perfect on a rainy Sunday. Only wish we had come to this restaurant sooner.
