I discovered Sara’s Donut Story because my baby has a milk allergy and I have to be dairy free. Their vegan cake donuts are so good! My toddler (who is obsessed with studio ghibli) loves their donuts and going inside to see everything. Amazing place.

Cute and unique donut shop! The donuts were delicious, fresh, and soft. The shop has a variety of flavors from traditional to unique deliciousness.

I got the raspberry hibiscus donut, berry Chantilly donut, lemon blueberry cake donut, strawberry cake donut, and jalapeño kolache.

Unfortunately they sold out of the dumpling donut. I would have loved to try that.

I recommend giving this place a try

As of April 25th:
I may have to go back and decrease my other reviews’ atmosphere star ratings because THIS is atmosphere and this is the least impressive thing about this experience. Glazed is only $1.00 each and 11 a dozen.
The store owner is incredibly kind. Her story is on the wall and it’s very inspiring. I tried paying for two glazed and two chocolate glazed but for some reason it stated that there was an error using my PayPal Mastercard touchpad on the merchants end. We tried a few more times and it kept coming up but it seems like it wasn’t taking and that was my only form of payment. I told her that it was okay and I’ll be back tomorrow but she insisted and gave me the donuts for free. She didn’t know this but I’m a higher level guide for Google maps so I definitely wanted to do a review as a result of my experience here.
I’m critical of food (look at my prior reviews) and I will absolutely be 100% honest about the donuts.. they are phenomenal. But I need to explain why they are phenomenal. They are the perfect combination of the fluffy doughnuts I always feel Koreans are well known for but it also has density to it like what I would call “church doughnuts” that the grandmothers would take to church to give us in south Texas (almost similar to the density of Shipleys but fluffier). I personally love the place and after going to at least 20 doughnut shops in the area, I’ve found mine. I’ll need to try out the vegan ones to see how they are as I have a vegans friend or two and I’ll update when I get the chance though I plan on trying everything.

Absolutely try these donuts for the quality and I think the rest will have you come back.

I love this place! Their customer service is great and they are very nice people. They have a great selection to choose from and very tasteful, I would highly recommend!

Donuts are more artistic than ordinary.
Because the donuts are more artistic, they cost about $2.50 each, which makes them extremely pricey to buy in bulk for work or other large function.
The decorations are a bit much and create a cluttered aesthetic

Visiting the dallas area and checked out this donut shop. Some of the best donuts I have had. Lady was helpful. We got some basic glaze and also some stuffed Nutella and s'more style donuts. Very fresh and rich donuts. I would recommend.

Sarah's Donut Story is truly a magical place. I came in today before closing, and received amazing treatment. I was given two extra donuts with my fiancé.

My fiancé has been coming here for a while, but this was my first time here. I saw this beautiful picture of a young lady on the wall. I found out that she was the lady that helped us' late daughter. I am going to guess the lady that helped us was Sarah. Everything in there was her daughters. The way I CRIED, and I kept crying. I hope my parents do something like that for me. It was just so beautiful.

The donuts were and are so good. This is such a uniquely beautiful place. What an inspiration it was to see that. Thank you for being such an amazing donut shop. ❤

Anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars is totally crazy. THIS PLACE IS AN AMAZING, JOYOUS FAIRY GARDEN OF MAGIC AND DONUTS!

Seriously, wherever you are going for donuts, it isn’t as good as this place. From the moment you walk in, you are transported to a place that can only be made in your dreams. There is a wondrous feeling among all the beautiful trinkets, flowers, and pictures so carefully curated and arranged with obvious love and adoration, that you cannot help but to feel a child-like lightness inside.

On top of which, the staff is wonderful and kind, and the donuts are fantastic. I will drive as far out of my way as I have to in order to come here.
