An excellent experience.
Every dollar is worth spending here.
The food, service and atmosphere is perfection.
Our server Garrath, took the initiative and took great care of our needs and gave us recommendations as first timers.
We will be back.

Tycoon has the best bartenders; Emma, Jayden, Tyler. They always are welcoming and take special care of us.
My girlfriend and I eat here weekly. Food is amazing but the staff takes it over the line. Jayden and Emma are fantastic bartenders that turn the meal into a great overall experience. We enjoy every visit and will continue to go back and sit at the bar to be waited on by them. Even when the restaurant is jammed packed they still go out of their way to provide superb service.

Went in for lunch on 2/5, and the heat in this place was stifling. I genuinely think they had it cranked up to 78 on a 68 degree day. Had to strip my son's clothes off as he was overheating.
The food was fine, but did not justify the prices. Where the experience completely fell apart was with the waitstaff. There were maybe 6 or 7 tables at the peak, and the two waiters could not keep up. They were too busy dancing and chatting at the bar. I had to go up to the bar to ask for missed food items, water, our checks, a to-go box, etc on numerous occasions, as did other tables. It took us 2.5 hours to get out of there for a simple lunch. Nightmare for working folks. Would not recommend with so many better options in the area.

First time visit, won’t be the last.
Staring with service, we had Dawson and he was great, very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive.
Appetizers were spot on and good size portions.
Fried Rice Bowl was impressive and the lava rock bowl it was served in kept the dish hot for the entire meal.
The atmosphere was pleasant and slightly elevated and we enjoyed the entire experience.

So I don’t leave many reviews. We live close and randomly decided to try it on a Friday night. The waiter and staff were friendly. I ordered the prime rib and my wife ordered the sea bass which was the main reason we tried this place after living here for over a year. The prime rib required a sharp steak knife to cut the prime rib, it was very tough, at market price I’ll cook it at home. We are pretty laid back and relaxed but here is why I’m leaving a review. The waiter recommended the banana foster for desert. We agreed. When he rolled up to the table to
Prepare the banana fosters, he dropped the half banana, which was pre cut in half, on the floor in front of the entire seating area. He literally picked it up off the floor and said sorry, then spilt it into fourths and put it into the Carmel. Let me make it clear, the banana was cut in half with an exposed end rolling across the floor. Really?? We didn’t say anything, didn’t eat it and had a drink at the bar after the meal to cap it off. We stopped in the next day at 5 pm after trying another place next door, and saw he was literally bartending and cutting up fruit for the night so we bailed. Never again. We tipped 20% on a big bill and were very respectful. We didn’t say anything to anyone at the time, so nobody knew of our experience. We tried to let it go, but if they are serving food off of the floor in the dining area, what are they serving off of the floor in the kitchen?

We had a really solid dinner here. The steak frites were cooked well, flavorful, and paired nicely with crisp fries. The wedge salad was classic and well executed fresh, cold, and generously dressed. Dessert sealed the deal: the crème brûlée had a properly caramelized top and a creamy interior, exactly what you want to end the meal.
Service and food quality were both strong, so overall the dining experience itself was enjoyable.
That said, one disappointment worth noting: although this restaurant participates in American Airlines Dining, the evening we went was considered a “blackout” night. That wasn’t communicated clearly in advance, which was frustrating and took a bit of the shine off an otherwise good meal.
Bottom line: good food, well prepared, and worth visiting, but clearer transparency around rewards program blackout dates would improve the experience.

Nice ambiance. Pricier but I felt the avenue warranted it.

My first time in. Wonderful atmosphere, intimate lighting and tastefully decorated. The food I had was wonderful (crab bisque and seared tuna salad) and our shared garlic/truffle fries were quite tasty! The waitress (Emma) and manager (Chelsea) were attentive and absolutely delightful personalities to spend our lunch experience with!

We stuck with just doing appetizers this time and was not disappointed. The ahi tuna and the salmon rice cake were top notch. The atmosphere is great and the staff was super attentive.

Tycoon is one of the few high end restaurants in Flower Mound that doesn’t feel like it’s… in Flower Mound. The bar is where it’s at, with incredible bartenders like Emma who make the atmosphere much more lively and energized than the more romantic, dimly lit booths. The food is great, and the steak frites won’t break the bank.
