We love Juan, we don’t like the new menu. The bar drinks aren’t as good as they used to be, missing Jay. Used to spend more $$ here.

Food was good and service was quick, but in this day and age, having no allergy menu is going to drop your rating. I was able to have my waiter walk me through modifying my meal to meet my needs, but a simple icon next to the dish on the menu could have told me to choose something else.

Something has slipped at Verf’s. The food was dry and warm, not hot. Very slow delivery … disappointing for an eatery that started off strong We had not been in a while.

My family and I came in the other night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. When I called asking if we would need a reservation Taylor answered the phone and said that she would need to ask a manger and I assume meant to put me on hold. The problem is that she never did get a manager and we heard her chatting next to the phone for the next 5 minutes. We figured we'd still try Verfs out and came for dinner anyway. When we arrived we were seated by none other than Taylor, who promptly dropped one of our silverware on the floor and then proceeded to try and give it to us. I couldn't believe it. The rest of the night went on fine, our server was great along with the food. I just wish our introduction to Verfs could've been better.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Verfs. Not only was the food subpar, but I also discovered that I had been overcharged for my meal. This is the first time this has happened to me at this restaurant, and it seems like they have not taken any measures to correct their billing issues.
As a customer, it is frustrating to have to check my bank statement after dining at Verfs. It takes valuable time and effort on my part, and it seems like the staff are not properly trained in handling these types of situations.
Moreover, the lack of accountability from the manager when I brought up the issue was concerning.
I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

Food had good flavor, but that is where it stops. The fish and chips were extremely greasy. I had grease drip on the table as I took a bite. The fries were also greasy and not crispy. I ended up not finishing my plate, which is rare. After I left, there was an unfortunate trip to the restroom shortly after. The service itself was wonderful and it's a shame that the food did not do the staff justice. I'll not be returning.

Tried Verf's Grill and Tavern for the first time. Walking in was greeting very quickly and seated. Nice setup with a large bar. Lots of TVs for viewing. Had sports and news on which i liked for the lunch tine. Menu seems to have lots of choices. I went with the fish and chips. When served, the fish was perfectly cooked, super crispy outside, and hot, fresh Cod on the inside. The fries were spectacular. Super crispy outside just the way you want them. Everything was really good. The portion size was great, people suoer nice. It's just a great little spot to eat lunch. Was also served with hushpuppies that were delicious as well. Oh, and if I didn't say the fries, may be the best in town. I'll be back, and next time, I'm bringing the family for dinner and drinks. Highly recommend this place you won't be disappointed.

I'm looking for a cool place for bruch, and this place showed up on my list of tries. I was super impressed by the wonderful bruch. I had pancakes and eggs. It was delicious. Along with a peach ? mimosa. Will definitely be returning here.
