The service was good. The staff was nice and chatty, however the food was less than sub par. My steak sandwich was horrible (they said chicken fried, but looked like it was frozen), my son's burger was ok and the onion rings were raw inside. My husband didn't even eat his meal. Plus no lemons for the tea or water?? It's a shame to spend $30 and leave dissatisfied. Total waste of money.

Lately the phone doesn't work so I am unable to order ahead. The website charges fees so don't want to order that way.
Place has an awesome mushrooms burger

It was a decent burger! We ate inside but it was very hot. One thing i dont like is that besides kiddie menu everything is separately ordered. I think the burgers do need to be cooked a little more but that’s really it!

The food was very average. I would consider it on par with school cafeteria food. I had the chicken fried steak with French fries. Everything clearly was frozen. The steak was a process steak “fritter” and the fries were plain, bland fries you could get in the frozen aisle at the grocery store. My wife had the avocado burger and it looked decent and fresh. When asked how it was she said “um, it’s fine”. That should tell you all you need to know about that.
Based on the food alone, I wouldn’t return.

Restaurantji Recommends
We ordered today 8/28, 2 mushroom burgers, 1 country burger, 2 orders of okra, 1 French fries. All 3 burgers were so dry we could not eat them. NO seasoning on okra, fries, or burgers. Is disappointing because we used to love this place. It has totally gone downhill, won’t be back again. Very disappointed in CB quality, food is just awful now. Don’t go, you won’t like it & total waste of money.

Country Burger House in Forney had bad food and terrible service. I would not recommend it to anyone. Our family will not return.
We placed an order for an open-faced cheeseburger. My husband specifically requested that it be a complete cheeseburger, without the bun. Unfortunately, they only sent a single patty. This is unacceptable service, and they were unable to follow simple instructions. I regret placing an order from this establishment.
Additionally, the second burger arrived with items that we had specifically requested to be omitted.
It is imperative that attention be paid to customer requests. We work hard for our money and expect to receive the food that we order, especially when it is as simple as a burger.

Burger was ultra mid even for $7. They also didn’t even make it how I ordered (no tomato). Glad I got it to go because it smelled like they sprayed a bunch of febreeze to cover up the smell of something dying in there. Must of gone downhill ever since this area came up cuz this is a 2 star restaurant, not a four star.
