My husband took me to this amazing spot today. I am super impressed and that is hard to do for me because I love flavorful and delicious food. We had birria tacos, birria noodles, twinkies, beef ribs and every single thing was more than amazing. The lady at the register was cool. I told her I wanted everything and she agreed but hubby said no. I can’t wait to go back because this is a true gem in Forney and I hate we just found out about. Will be on a constant rotation for us. Very delicious, great atmosphere and next time we will eat there to enjoy it. Sorry for no photos. Ate it too fast. Lol

I have had the brisket, pork belly, birria, and beef ribs in different forms which are all outstanding. The tamales are as good as my mom's which is rare. I always get the Texas twinkie. This is among the best in DFW for sure. Brisket passes the Texas Monthly top 50 bar for me.

The food here is amazing. The Texas twinkle, sliced moist brisket, and pork belly are my favorite. The workers are joyful and love to conversate if you have a minute. Finally, the place is clean. If you have time, definitely drop in. You will not leave disappointed.

My husband and I visited during lunch. It wasn't the way we remembered it from a year and a half ago. My husband is a BBQ guru.. we are much closer now and thought why not go back! This time around, the BBQ just was not very good. We're not a fan of cherry wood, which is the flavor we could taste. It's not for everyone. We love the hickory pellets/wood flavor for BBQ. I had nachos, the cherry flavor just did not flow with my nachos. My husband tried the burrito with brisket. It's surprisingly very big! 👀 So if your hungry and a maaannn get that! However, we also are not a fan of places that use canned food. The burrito had beans in it that just overpowered the rest of the burrito 🌯. They were clearly canned BUSH beans. It wasn't bad but just wasn't it for us.

10/10 hands down!!!!! I’ve had the birria flautas, birria tamales, moist brisket, potatoe salad and charro beans and everything has been impeccable! The brisket has that smoky flavor and OMG bless the hands that make it because it’s absolutely the best brisket I’ve had! Everything is so flavorful and it will not disappoint! My family and I love Tejas twist!

We’ve been loyal fans of El Tejas Twist since their original food truck days, and it’s been amazing to watch them grow into a full-blown local favorite. This family owned gem serves up a mouthwatering mix of Tex-Mex, BBQ, and the best tamales in Texas no exaggeration!
Their tamales are absolutely unmatched flavorful, tender, and always fresh. The brisket and other BBQ selections are just as incredible, packed with that perfect smoky flavor everyone raves about. A must try is their famous Texas Twinkies, and if you're up for a little heat, don’t miss the Forney Firecrackers, made with habanero peppers. The menu is creative and full of great options for every appetite, and their desserts are the perfect sweet finish to any meal.
Beyond the food, the overall ambiance is a big part of what makes El Tejas Twist special. They’ve created a great outdoor dining space that’s casual, fun, and perfect for families or groups of friends. They serve cold beer, and sometimes on weekends, when the weather allows, you can catch live bands or karaoke, which adds a festive, laid back vibe. Even though they close before nighttime, they know how to bring the fun during the day!
We’ve also used their on site catering, and it’s just as outstanding as dining in. The food is always hot, fresh, and served with true Texas hospitality.

We found this fabulous place on our drive to the airport!! Definitely a must try! The brisket queso is out of this world good. I had the birria and chicken tamales and they were amazing too! The staff and chefs were very friendly and kind! They definitely know what they are doing!! We will be bringing back they whole family next time 🤩🤗🥰

The flavors of the smoked meat with salsa, queso, and their BBQ sauce is something I didn't know I needed in my life. I will be chasing the food high from that meal forever 🤤

Had the Birria grilled cheese. I did not think much about it until I took my first bite. Very tasty grilled cheese sandwich on Texas toast. I will say this coming from West Coast I would love to see more consume with the meal.
