I picked up one of you Italian Cream Cake slices from the Texas Best BBQ & Convenience store this morning. I'm not sure if it had just sat there too long and they need to rotate their stock of your product out but it was terrible! Inedible (and I'm a phat girl that eats most anything) terrible! Not only was it incredibly dry it the pecans in it had a rancid taste like they were old or had sat too long. I'm sure you are a much better bakery when one can go to your actual location and purchase something fresh.

The chicken tortilla was disappointing today. Picked up a to go bowl. Once home found the soup to seem to be watered down. So thin and watery. In past has been thick and could see small bits of chicken. Not today. Soooo disappointing. I used to proclaim this soup to be best chicken tortilla soup, ever had. But now so watery and can't see any chicken.

Great tea and drinks! Their spinach artichoke grilled cheese is amazing. Try it but even if you go with another sandwich or soup, you’ll enjoy it. Pastries are always fresh and delicious!

Lathams Bakery has been a staple part of my Saturday mornings. The food is great, the bakery is right out of Gilmore Girls imo. Some mornings the lines are long (because everyone knows where the best place in Forney is) I’ve ordered numerous custom cakes from there and they are quick and delicious and beautifully decorated. When I go I always enjoy that sense of community in Lathams, people meeting people, people enjoying a moment together, Lathams feels like family no matter who we end up chatting with. None of this would be without Melinda though. She is the center of those mornings, whether she’s racing back and forth answering phones, taking orders, training the newest staff, and making delicious drinks, she also stops even if for a brief moment to go out of her way to make every person feel seen. She runs a tight ship in those hectic moments but still tries to make sure she stops to give one on one as much as she can to every individual that walks through that door, she is at least half possibly 3/4 of the reason Lathams Is part of my weekend routine.

One of my favorite places in Forney. Food is great, service is too! We order cookie cakes for birthday every year most years. I love getting refills in my cup and trying a new sweet something, tho I imagine I have tried them all by now, 😆 🤣

Tried their blueberry& it was amazing, highly recommend. I warmed mine up, it’s not overly sweet, it’s perfect!
I went today with my sister for the first time and let me tell you, it was amazing from start to finish. I had the banana matcha 10/10! Turkey Pesto Grilled cheese sandwich 100/10. Sourdough was nice and buttery, pesto was so fresh and turkey was cut beautifully. Not only was the food delicious but the service is an experience itself. We had the pleasure of meeting Melinda and that woman is the coolest person. She made great recommendations and an awesome person overall. Will definitely be going back more often.

I ordered a birthday Cake from them and they lost the order. Good thing I called to pay early or else there would of been no Cake. But they did come through and had the cake ready for me on time. So all went well at the end and the cake was delicious.
