Review: Disappointing Experience at Grand Pizza Forney TX
I recently visited Grand Pizza in Forney and it was, without a doubt, one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was dim and uninviting. The lighting was barely functional, casting strange shadows on the old, mismatched furniture. The decor felt outdated, neglected, and borderline creepy, making it hard to feel comfortable or enjoy the meal.
Speaking of the meal, the pizza was a major letdown. The crust was terrible and undercooked, the sauce tasted overly sweet and artificial, and the toppings seemed far from fresh. It lacked flavor and care, which was surprising given their reputation as a local spot.
Service didn’t help redeem the experience either. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, adding to the overall eerie vibe of the place. If the goal was to create an atmosphere where customers couldn’t wait to leave, mission accomplished.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality meal or a pleasant evening out. There are plenty of better pizza spots around that actually care about the food they serve and the ambiance they create. Unfortunately, Grand Pizza in Forney was just not it.

Tried for first time yesterday based on other recommendations. This is the best pizza in Forney that I have found. Fresh and perfectly cooked. This is not chain pizza. Highly recommend the chicken Alfredo pizza with spinach and mushrooms.

We picked up Pizza Grand for a girls night and it was delicious!! Perfect crispy crust! We also had the garlic bread and it’s a can’t miss. This is a great family owned business, they were so kind to our group and we can’t wait to come back!

I came in today panicking because I heard a rumor he was closing his doors! He is not! So happy that I will be able to continue to eat here longer. I been eating here since 1988 and I have never been disappointed or received anything other than fantastic service and food.
Had such an amazing experience at this hometown pizza restaurant. They’re been in this town for over 40 years and they still make great pizza. The owner was extremely friendly and was able to make me a deliciously crispy pepperoni pizza, very different from the pizza places in town. Definitely a place to try, wish this place was bigger… it needs an updo, however up can see the history in this place. Truly a forever favorite.

I came in to pick up to-go pizza for husband’s birthday. We did a blind pizza taste test with friends. It was unanimous that Pizza Grand was the best pizza! I’ve lived in Forney for 20 years and had never been here before. Definitely will be going back. Owner was very fun to talk to and kind!
